Bought this several times, lovely soup, just mix with powder, add more for a thicker consistency which I like, I also purchase the chicken variety.

Not great, not terrible.
I was hoping for the old vending machine style soup. One previous review said it was spot on, another that it wasn't. As it turns out, it wasn't. It's okay soup for what it is, just not the nostalgia fix that I was hoping for.

Easy to use if you ignore what it says on the tin!
I enjoy this Knorr soup when I use the quantities given below to make a thick soup. I find the Knorr recipe makes soup too thin for my liking. So why do I say easy to use if you ignore what it says on the tin? Because with the instructions given this is not something suitable for someone to take to a place of work, as they expect people to use a cooker and saucepan to prepare this. I do not know many work places that provide this. However many work places do provide a kettle and microwave which is really all that is needed.Their instructions are also for a family quantity of soup (850ml) so calculations need to be done in order to make sufficient for 1 or 2. So here is my simple solution, I suggest 300mls is a reasonable portion size for most people and will fit in a bowl or large mug. I use a microwave mug to make this as the fitted top with steam release valve prevents the soup bubbling over in the microwave.Making soup for 1 person.Into a mug or bowl place 30g of powder for a thin soup (10g/100ml water) or 45g powder (15g/100ml water) for a thick soup. This can be measured prior to going to work and placed in the microwave mug.Measure 300ml of water, put in a kettle and boil.Pour hot water over the powder and mix using a fork or whisk. In an 800w microwave heat for 60 secs at full power, remove, mix or whisk to remove any remaining lumps and then heat for a further 45 seconds in the microwave. Reduce time by 10-15 secs in a 900w microwave. Now eat the soup 🥣Value for money? You decide. If you use 30g powder to make 300 ml off the thinner soup, cost is 44p per mug.If you use 45g to make the 300ml of the thicker soup, cost is 66p per mug. As I can buy a tin of soup for 50p I find this more expensive, however it takes much less space to store the powder than the 9 cans required to replace it. It is also much lighter to carry.
