Lightweight, easy transport, and better than other cooling vests
This is a great cooling jacket, lightweight and compact. I suffer with Multiple Sclerosis and my core temperature is always on the high side. This also easy to carry in its little case that fits in my walker. Other cooling vest are so heavy and not easy to transport. I am actually buying a 2nd jacket

If your budget can take the hit, make the investment.
I have MS and am plagued with significant heat intolerance issues, which is a bit tricky since I live in the desert. I'm also an avid gardener, so herein lies the conundrum. The past 4 years I've had to get outside by 5:30am in order to beat the heat. Being outside in temps higher than about 75° rendered me useless for the remainder of the day. I have gel pack neck wraps, but they really didn't deliver the amount of cooling I needed. The cost of cooling vests and my doubt that they actuallly worked, have prohibited me from purchasing one earlier. This year I decided to bite the bullet and BOY AM I GLAD I DID!!This vest is AWESOME!!! It's completely adjustable and should fit MOST sizes. It's lightweight, even when holding the gel-packs. Best of all....it's allowed me to extend my time outdoors! It's given me my life back as I couldn't venture out much past 10:00am due to the heat. The last few days I've actually stayed outside working in my garden, well past 1pm and 105°!!!It comes with 8 gel packs (You only use 4 at a time in the pockets) and a handy insulated pouch that enables you to take a frozen set with you to switch out on the go. It's not exactly fashion forward to say the least. I actually layered it in order to wear it out to run some errands. Tank top first, vest on top of that (the pouches are a bit too cold, if laying up against bare skin) and the a loose fitting shirt on top. Viola!!In all honesty, for the lightweight materials used to make this product, the price is a bit high. It's not like they have to fund R&D or it's sewn with gold thread. It's just disheartening that companies charge so much for products that can actually help improve the well being of people who have been affected by life altering diseases. If your budget can take the hit - make the investment!!!

Environmental conditions affect cooling times.
I work on the beach as a wedding photographer. I work primarily on the beaches in Pinellas county (gulf coast Florida, Clearwater/ St. Pete area) we have very high humidity and many times the “feel like” temps are in the triple digits. IMO- it’s brutal. After several “close calls” from the heat I discovered cooling vests. I chose this one because of the reviews and cut of the vest. I am a female and needed something that would sit properly and actually surround my core. The V cut and placement of the ice packs is perfect (ladies I’m sure you understand). The fit: I love being able to adjust the sides and the shoulders. I will mention that the plastic pieces for adjustment seem the be on the inside so it needs to be adjusted before you zip it up. I was able to adjust the Velcro on the shoulders to position the vest so the ice packs are just below the bra line.Cooling time: after about 45-60 minutes the packs become soft with about 1/5 still frozen. I can feel the small frozen bits in the bags. I personally become overheated very quickly and I have to change the ice packs out after and hour. I’m working in direct sunlight however. Variables such as cloud cover and day time seem to extend the ice and cooling a little bit. The shortest cooling times seem to be between 11am-4pm in direct sun.I will note that after the first use, it was 2 pm, 98/99 with feel like temps of 110+, no cloud coverage and high humidity; I felt like it didn’t do anything and was disappointed. I returned to the beach at 4pm with fresh packs and added an additional pack under my shirt over the left side of my chest. That made a huge different for me. Also want to mention the temps/conditions hadn’t really changed.Since then on “normal” days (with out heat advisories) this vest has been a life saver. I do also wear a large sun hat and put an ice pack in the hat to keep my head cool. I wear a very thin tank top under the vest with my regular shirt over the vest. It is a bit bulky and certainly doesn’t give a slimming appearance but it’s not heavy or uncomfortable. For me comfort out weights fashion.Overall I’m very pleased with the function and cooling of this vest and would recommend. I would definitely suggest getting extra ice packs to switch out as needed. The ice packs I received do not “recharge” when I put them in my cooler.Cons: The only negatives I can think of right now are the adjustable straps on the sides seem to be on the wrong side. You can not adjust them once it’s zipped upThe Velcro straps on the shoulder rub and/or dig in my shoulder especially when my camera strap rests on them. Both is these are minor in the big scheme of things.

Vest is very short.
It helped keep me cool and very hot temperatures, lasted about an hour and a half. Would be more practical if the vest was longer as it currently hits just above the waist. It's hard to keep the ice packs frozen in hot temperatures using the thermal container that is provided. I've had to use and ice chest that is better insulated, and although it's takes longer to melt, it still does.

Great Quality
First off I am in the midwest so I did not get a chance to try it in hot weather. The quality seems very good. It is light weight. I like that you get 8 cooling packs so you can have an extra set in the freezer ready to go when needed. The vest does have adjustable straps on the side. I'm 6' 230 lbs it fits good and there is still some room. It comes with an insulated case that everything fits in to keep it all together so nothing gets lost.

Cheaply made. Do not recommend
It’s a great concept, but it seems cheaply made. I would recommend buying a different product
