Appears to work just fine vs the 2 packs from Walgrens
I've been using some 2 packs of these from Walgrens which were on a super super sale ($9.99 for a pack of two after an in store rebate of $10 off an an already sale price). I have never seen anything even close to that price. I had an inventory of them that ran out. This 10 pack comes with ONE single meter reader for all 10 which counts down the number of tests you have run. If you lose this meter, you are going to angry as heck because you will have no way to use the remaining tests. If the 20 test one is the same with a meter set to run 20 tests, then the risk is even higher. The 2 pack was the same. Each one with a meter which ran 2 and only 2 checks. Why the meter does that I do not understand. I have done 2 checks so far and both seem to be what I expect from fasting readings and past lab and home tests. The accuracy and ease of use of these is top notch. The seller was an Amazon marketplace seller which seemed more like some dude in his garage reselling things than a real company based on the receipt and stuff he put in the box, but they are the real deal and work fine, so what does it matter. I recommend. I would hesitate to get the 20 test kit however because of the way they make the meters limited to the exact number of tests. That seems idiotic. Don't lose your meter!

Like to keep track of where I stand
I always held my breath at the doctors office when they did an A1c. Is the diabetic medicine working? Have I been good at watching my diet? Using this every couple months helps me monitor. Pretty accurate. Might be off a tad. I did a test a day before my office visit. This A1c device gives you a 3 month "outlook" on how you're doing. Mine was 6.7... Doctors was 6.8. We were both HAPPY. My doctor uses THIS SAME DEVICE, and that's why I bought it. Both Hubby and are on diabetic meds so this is handy to have and VERY EASY TO USE. Be ADVISED that this particular A1cNOW PLUS REQUIRES REFRIGERATION!!! The other A1cNOW monitor that is the NON PLUS one , DOES NOT REQUIRE REFRIGERATION.

Indispensable Device
I have been using this A1C monitor for several months and I found it to be an invaluable tool. The testing procedure is relatively simple. It requires storing the testing kits in the refrigerator and, before using them, leaving them out at room temperature for at least an hour. The first step of the test is to collect exactly the amount of fingerprick blood to fill s small pastic vessel. Then you insert the collected blood into a tube to mix with a solution of chemicals (shaking the tube to mix them). Each test uses a disposable module that plugs into the electonic test monitor. The blood-chemical solution in the tube is then injected into the hole on the disposable module. After this, the A1C result will be displayed on the monitor in five minutes. I have done at least one test each month for the past few months. I believe the A1C results from this device are fairly accurate. I base this on comparing the A1C results with my blood-glucose test logs. I do about 3 to 5 blood glucose tests daily and the average values rise and fall fairly consistently with the A1C results I get from this device. Bayer has a website ([...]) which shows a video of how the test is used and details of lab tests on the accuracy and precision of this device.

DEFECTIVE analyzer and NO WARRANTY-
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT Our “analyzer” was defective. It is supposed to do 10 test. Ours worked fine the first time, but when we tried to use it again it displayed a code for “zero test” left. So we got one test for $180 ! We used a different brand before with no problems. There is effectively NO WARRANTY on this product. Amazon says you can return only within 30 days. This product is meant to be used one a month over 10 months. In our case the analyzer crapped out on the second use, which was after the Amazon 30 day return period. The manufacturer says NO WARRANTY because it considers Amazon a third party seller, which voids any warranty.

Cheaper than a doctor visit
I have controlled off my condition by giving up starch and sugar, and my A1c at the last doctor visit was 5.2. It’s gonna be a whole year before I have to go back. That’s a long time between A1c tests, which should be every three months. This product is the best solution. There was a little bit of a challenge in doing this the first time around, so I did end up wasting one test. I hate that. But there are eight more, and that should last me 24 months. 30 months if you count two doctor’s visits in the timespan. I kind of hate that the test is coded so that the little mechanism is going to be disposable. Seems like y’all could just sell the rest of the kit, instead of making us buy a new device when we run out. Other than that, I am really pleased.

Accurate but perhaps not precise.
Unless one can get sample without squeezing the finger, it may give artificially low result.

Money saver, and peace of mind!
I will do a video for these soon enough. These are fantastic. I have been using them for several years now. Mom is a diabetic and these cost less than her co-pay medicare. No telling how much the taxpayers pay for her testing at the lab. The best thing is that to date, when she has to go to the lab for an A1C test, I do one of these to compare the results and so far every-time has been 100% accurate, and matched the lab results exactly. (They need to be done the same day because half the result is from the last two weeks.) So I trust the accuracy. As soon as we can get her doctor to trust them too, we'll be saving ourselves on the co-pay and the tax payers on the medicare provider payments. I don't know that the lab and doctor will care a lot for that, but when reality is, productivity is prosperity, you must learn and strive to avoid consumption. Rating it 5 stars plus for do it yourself management in healthcare! A1cNow+ Monitor Plus 10 tests An awesome product! A1cNow Monitor plus tests
