Voices of the First Day: Awakening in the Aboriginal Dreamtime

If you are a human, please read this book
I honestly can’t recommend this book enough and it’s hard to put into words its significance. The “primitive” (as viewed by the European invaders who committed barbaric acts of genocide against these jovial natives) Aboriginals are visionaries and Lawlor does an exquisite job of delving into their extremely deep and complex culture and bringing it to us in these pages. This book provides an in-depth exploration of Aboriginal culture, beliefs, kinship relations, spirituality, and so much more - the Dreamtime. The parallels Lawlor draws between their cultural practices and beliefs and how our Western “civilized” society could benefit from their implementation is too hard to ignore, let alone disagree with. As he so eloquently writes, “The potential of the Dreamtime is still alive within us, both physically and psychologically, and holds the promise of an astonishing awareness that stretches beyond the bounds of our five senses. No objective can be of greater significance for human survival than the recovery of the Dreaming.” I could not agree more. This is an important, eye-opening/mind-expanding (and super enjoyable) read that everyone should experience and contemplate. Please read this book, you won’t regret it!

Great
Simply substitute the modern term quantum physics for Dreamtime and you become aware of what the Aborigines have always known. With recent acknowledged government ET collaborators, secret space program insiders, and countless Area 51 whistle blowers coming forward with their revelations about ET history, the Aboriginal ancestors certainly knew what was going on. The Aboriginal history follows the narrative of ET activity and our new understanding of Epigenetics, quantum physics and our true nature as creators and human beings. Robert's book is brilliant!

Who are they When did they appear?
Initiallly, I borrowed this book from a friend. 5 weeks into writing a book report for my friend, I returned the book to her and bought my own copy. Very Very informative. In college I did not take classes like Anthropology or sociology and the view point is pleasantly refreshing. The author is a bit defensive of his field of study and his "zingers" are fun to read. The character on Big Bang named Sheldon must sting him a bit. "real Science" stuff. Archaeology has a lot to dig up about the origins of man and it must answer the existence of the people of Austrailia. these prop;e are every bit as puzzling as the Denisovians. These people may be the very earliest people uncontaminated by ???? Stuff like wings on Sumerian rulers and Thoths animal head and the skulls of some egyptians. All stuff that may have happened after humans appeared.

Reaching deep into the past - depth and understanding for the present.
I have purchased at least three copies of this book to give as gifts. This latest one given to an ex-pat from Australia as even the Australians overlook the depth and richness of the Aboriginal heritage. Like we have done with the American Indian in the US, we trampled on the values, the wisdom and the world view of the indigenous cultures. This book is so tremendously deep in meaning that I actually experienced the grief the remnants of indigenous cultures feel for the earth. It is a restoration of meaning and depth in man's roots - take the time to read it and reach down within yourself to truly understand how distorted our species has become.

this book touched my heart deeply
Whatever, I can say this book touched my heart deeply. It came to me from a fellow traveller on a trip around the world at the time i was staying in a littel cottage at the beach of hawaii. This book found me and grabbed my heart and engraved its title to my mind so that i never forget. This way i am able to find and buy this book today, about some 20 years later here at amazon. This book is one of the very few treasures in written form that help to transform your conscience to a higher dimensional level by giving some hints on the real possibilities of human mind/body connexion. By the way, another one is: Autobiography of a yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda. Also a must read!So people who are soely interested in aboriginal culture may be overwhelmed by the deepness of this book and may be bewildered by the vast space of potential that is opend up by this book.So if you are a sceptisist, you meight want to beware, this book is as powerful as real life!!!!!
