The mat does provide some cushioning, but I'm not sure it provides any real benefit. It does give me a sense that it is easier on my feet and legs while I stand, but I really cannot tell. It could be better if if was thicker and had better/firmer cushioning. But then again, you get what you pay for.Conclusion:Looking for a cheap mat and don't suffer from pain and just want to be proactive about managing pain, then this should serve you fine.
