Odd thread size
Fantastic pump! Plenty of power and extremely quiet. Time will tell but so far great value. Love the variable speeds and digital display. Have it running submerged in my sump pushes plenty of water straight up 5’ through 1” PVC. 300 gallons per hour on setting 7.Odd thread size though. There’s no fitting out there at your local hardware store that will fit it. Not a problem if you use hose or tubing but I wanted to hard plumb it into my existing system. Had to get creative. Used the large hose barb fitting it came with and glued that into the pipe. Works great.

An Awesome pump!
My Fluval VX4 pump gave out after just 2 years! Highly disappointed with Fluval. Paying top dollar for a pump that I thought would last, at least more than 2 years. I even changed the impeller thinking that might have been the issue. Nope.I did a Google search and saw many others with the Fluval FX4 having the same issue - impeller quivering and not turning. One of the comments to the post suggested using an external DC motor and I found this pump. I removed the impeller and put the cover back on. This pump was extremely easy to setup, hooking it up on the Fluval Out connection. My Fluval pump works even better than it did with the original pump. I can now adjust the flow of the output as well as pause the pump output during feeding time with a simple push of a button.I highly recommend this pump for anyone that has a Fluval FX4 or simply needs an external pump for an aquarium or pond. Pump seems of very good quality as well.

excelente compra

My fish thank you
I bought this as a return pump for my 75 gallon aquarium after my old one died. Works like a charm. I love the “pause” feature that allows me to feed the fish while turning off the water flow for 10 minutes. It also has 3 different size hose fittings so it should work for whatever size hose return you have.

Quiet, cute and strong
The negatives (only a few but not bad):1). There should be a 90 degree angle input option that can be screwed on so that it can work in lower water levels.2). The remote should have an on/off, not just a 10 minute "feed" shutoff option. I ended up buying https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FT4RBBM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to turn the pump on and off.3) One set of plugs is not screw in, and they tend to fall out or get pulled out and of course the pump won't work.4) I make fountains and I know there are many people who will use these for other than fishtanks. So perhaps the word "FEED" can be replaced by the word "PAUSE" so that people can use it on fountains, in water walls and other places besides fishtanks. As I said, these are mainly all minor... This is a really great pump. The positives:It's great! It's so quiet. Even on the level 20. I like that it goes up 20 levels. Many pumps go up to 3, 5, 10.It pumps the amount that they said it does.I also like that it's white and black, which matches the fountains I produce. The connection design and the pieces that go with them are good, strong and solid.I have tried mostly every pump on Amazon. This is clearly top for me and I plan to buy more.I plan to buy many more.

Not a sine wave but classic wave
It's a classic wave pump (on/off/steps), not a true sine wave. The amperage zero's out and then turns back on. A true sine wave would gradually decrease and increase amperage (wave). Removed 1 star.A 24v 2amp AC to DC power supply is included. Which makes the pump 48 watts if running AC. The pump is listed as 25 watts but the instructions read 28 watts. Running the pump DC directly was actually closer to 35 watts as the amperage required to turn on the pump on was 1.47 amps. 1.47ampsX24volts=35 watts. Removed a second star.Unsure if I will keep. It is a strong pump in continuous mode. I have two other pumps that are able to produce sine waves and classic waves and was able to see and hear the difference.

Super quiet and easy to use
I actually use this pump to pump water from my water station into my aquarium with the inline function. I do this because I am able to get almost all the water out by aiming the inline tube towards the bottom of the brute garbage can. The controller works great for turning it on and off when I'm done too. When I first tried using this pump with the inline function I thought it was broken because it wasn't pumping water through the tube. I soon figured out that you need to prime the pump and fully submerge the inline tube in water to get good suction. Also, it will make a loud buzzing sound in the beginning of pumping but once all the bubbles are out it is dead silent. Probably the quietest pump I've ever had.
