Question 1

Can anyone tell me if you can fold the board while still playing a game or is it only portable between games? (Does that question make sense?)

Accepted Answer

No, you can't fold it while playing it because the pieces will hit one another. It's only portable between games and I think it's too bulky for travel. The box is heavy. Better to just fit a regular sized "board" and a felt bag of tiles with the racks into your luggage.

Question 2

Where is this made (country)? Thanks!

Accepted Answer

Hi there! Thanks for your question.

This item is Officially Licensed by Hasbro. It was designed by the fine folks at WS Game Company of Massachusetts, and is produced in China.

Hope that helps.

Question 3

Do you sell replacement tiles? We love this travel set but have lost one “W” tile and need a replacement.

Accepted Answer

Sorry but I do not have any replacement tiles.

Question 4

Can anyone tell me the size of the tiles? Just wondering if I'll need a magnifying glass to see them.

Accepted Answer

Hi there! Thank you for your question.

The Scrabble Letter Tiles Each Measure 0.44 in x 0.41 in x 0.19 in

As for seeing the letters - while everyone's eyesight is different of course, let me offer myself as an example. I will be welcomed by AARP this year, wear corrective lenses, and occasionally use reading glasses for a little help with smaller print. I do not need reading glasses to be able to see the letter tiles when playing Scrabble on this Deluxe Travel Edition. The dark black color of the letter and point value is printed on the light wood tile to be easily visible at normal playing distance. Additionally, the printing on the game board bonus squares is quite high in contrast, making them relatively easy to read. While this edition was not designed to aid people with challenging vision conditions, it's certainly not more difficult to read at a normal playing distance for those with normal or corrected to normal vision.

Here are some additional specifications:
