Love this leash! Best one we have ever had! The leash is thicker than others we have had with 2 padded handles that make them comfortable in the hand. It is also a nice, wide leash. The lower handle lets us make quick little corrections for the dog using just our fingers, but it also allows a 2 handed grip when our 75 lb, 8 month old puppy suddenly gets distracted by a squirrel he would love to chase. The stitching is reflective, which is a nice plus. At 6 feet it is long enough to use with a bit dog while still complying with the 6 feet of leash allowed in most public places.

We bought two 6-foot two-handled padded leashes, and they are still in great shape after four months of use. We used these leashes to train our Pembroke Corgis, first at puppy class and later to walk around town, so they frequently bit, chewed, and pulled on them but the sturdy nylon webbing has held up very well. The second handle is great for times when they need to stay close around traffic, and both handles have a little bit of padding and a smooth lining that keeps our hands comfortable. I think these leashes will hold up well for many years of outdoor fun.

I have tried everything for my dog that pulls. My trainer recommended this leash to me and it has been a game changer. I love that I can hold the leash tight with the close handle or give slack with the second. I don't have to loop it around my hand a million times. I don't know if it is really memory foam in the leash handles, but it feels like it due to how comfortable and padded it is. I tell everyone with a dog to buy this leash. Cheaper and better quality than any I can found at Target.

I’m wanted to give this a 5 stars. The quality is amazing. However the traffic loop is only good if you have the appropriate height ratio between you and your dog. I’m just a little bit too tall for my dog so the other people that walk him can’t use the loop either since I’m the shortest. He’s not a short dog. The height of a spaniel mix, and I’m 5 4. I wish it would have worked out a little better for us. I tried mesauring it to make sure it would be, but the description didn’t have exact inches for the base of the loop to the top. Again. Quality is amazing. It’s just not the right one for us.

The first regular dog leash I got was great. The measurements given do not include the handle, little bit of a disappointment, but overall great leash and was what I was looking for. The little bit of padding in the handle makes a huge difference. I’ve used the leash for a while now and seems to be holding up well.The waist/hands free leash is great, exactly what I was looking for. Perfect for a day outside when I needed to have free hands but have my dog attached to me to avoid running away. The leash was used in the lake as well. It seems to have held up well so far with the one day of use.

I really like the way this leash moves around on the belt. It’s able to move around me so my dog has more range of motion than she has on a belt with a set link. I also like the two handles. My dog is small (she’s about 22lbs), so I don’t really use the one closer to her collar, but I see it being useful with a larger breed. There is a slight learning curve. Both for me and her. We got back into a good rhythm within a few minutes with only a few little hiccups (like she got it under her leg a couple of times). I highly recommend this for anyone trail running with their dog. We have really enjoyed it.UPDATE: We still love this leash. Only two things to consider; length and security. Now, I don’t mean security of the dog. The buckets are all great and hold fast. The issue is the belt. I have to re-tighten it every 10-15 minutes because the material is so soft. The slider thing slips looser as we run. And as far as length... my dog runs pretty close to me, and because she’s small the leash’s sag can get under her front leg. This is a pet peeve of mine, not really an issue with the leash.

I am amazed with this leash considering what I paid for it. I don’t recall ever being disappointed in an AmazonBasics item...However, this leash takes that to a whole other level.This thing is high quality, strong nylon with excellent stitching. The reflective threading is a nice touch as well. All said, I am extremely happy with this purchase. This is a great leash! I have a Frenchie that enjoys pulling whenever he sees another dog along our walking route, he is quite strong. This leash has held up for a year and a half now with no signs of wear. I never thought I would need two handles on a leash but the extra one is great for keeping my dog close to my side when passing others. The only con is the the second handle (closest to the dog) is kind of awkward to hold if your dog is on the shorter side. However, totally glad I bought this and would definitely recommend!
