Worth the investment!
Of course cheaper baskets & liners will work, but these wood pulp bannetons are fantastic for sourdough bread. This smaller size is perfect for my 500g flour loaves. I love the way wood pulp holds the shape of my dough and helps to wick away excess moisture that builds up during the overnight cold proof in the fridge. I use the liner when I'm adding inclusions to my dough, otherwise I dust the inside with Thai rice flour and have never had a problem with my dough sticking.

Very impressed with this banneton. No sticking at all just a beautiful turnout ready for scoring and baking. I do dust it with brown rice flour like I do any banneton.

These work great just much smaller then the other styles offered that are reed. Very shallow too.

Love this basket, great size for the bread I make. Be carefully if you get it wet. My wife washed one and did not let it dry,l. So it molded, not the baskets fault, it is great!

Does not work as expected.
Needs a lot of flour to prevent sticking. And still dries out the dough too much.
