Very comfortable, no break in needed.
Nice boots, comfortable out of the box, no break in needed for me. True to size in a 13W, maybe just a little more room in the toe box than most, a good thing for me. Surprisingly difficult to get on even with the zipper all the way down, really needs a heal pull loop on the boot. Easy to get off however. Appear to be well made. The narrow tread pattern on the sole picks up and holds small rocks however so be careful if you have wood floors, my Rocky’s had a larger pattern and didn’t do this. I do like not having to lace up however, my first pair of zip up boots. The inner sole insert offers nice support and cushion. Reebok really should add a heal pull though.

Good boots, but not particularly durable where sole meets boot body.
The Reebok Work Men's Rapid Response RB8894 Safety Toe Boot arrived from the seller very quickly in your normal Reebok packaging. The boots are your standard leather desert combat boot material with the usual canvas on the top half of the boot. There was a bit of padding on the upper portion that took a while to break in. The toes are a composite safety toe, which is supposed to be airline friendly if you don't have to take off your boots. I have yet to go through airport security and not have to remove my footwear. On the inner side of both boots, there is a YKK-brand zipper that is definitely durable. At the top of the zipper, there is a Velcro flap that covers the zipper pull to keep it from moving. There are eight eyelets that are supposed to be speed-lace eyelets. The soles of the boot are a two-part makeup consisting of the bottom portion with an aggressive tread and a softer upper portion that wraps around the bottom portion of the boot. When I initially received these boots, they were quite stiff and took a lot of breaking in. In fact, they were so stiff, it was actually tough to get my foot in them for a while. Once they broke in a bit and I got them laced up the way I liked them, I just had to use the zipper to secure them and they are quick on and off. After wearing these for about 4 months, I began to notice quality issues with them. At about 3-4 months, I noticed the soft upper portion of the sole began to separate from the leather portion of the boot and one of the flaps covering the Velcro started coming unstitched. Bear in mind, I had not been wearing these boots out in the field like I would normally have done to combat boots. These were just my normal day-to-day boots. I contacted Reebok to figure out their replacement policy. A rep contacted me back and, after requesting pictures of the damage, they shipped me a new pair as a replacement. They originally said I had to go through the seller for a replacement, but offered to handle it directly. Upon receiving the replacement boots, they did not request the original defective ones back...I guess they would have just thrown them away anyway. So, I stored the defective pair in case I needed another pair to beat up. Fast forward another 4 months after receiving the replacement boots and wearing them in the same day-to-day non-off-road conditions. The replacement pair did the exact same thing. The soft upper portion of the sole began to separate from the leather portion again. I contacted the same rep that helped me with the replacement before and they declined to replace the second defective pair. Apparently, they have an unwritten policy that they will only replace defective boots once...regardless of the timeframe and whether they sent another defective pair. They merely offered me a 50% discount in the event that I wanted to purchase another replacement pair. Normally, that would be a good deal, but now I have two defective pairs of boots and they think I want to spend money on another pair. Again, at this point I had only had each pair 4 months before they started falling apart. Here I am now 2 years later. I cut my losses and just opted to wear them until they fell apart and would just make sure not to purchase another pair of Reeboks. The quality was poor and the customer service was initially outstanding, but fell on their faces after they delivered a second defective item. I continued wearing the second defective pair, which have now come apart at the back above the heel portion where the Achilles is. When I say come apart, I mean the leather split and it is wide open. Although the ventilation is welcomed in this Texas heat, it is not quite what I hoped for. Additionally, the leather has split on the left boot right above the sole. I assure you again, these boots have not seen much more action than your normal walking. At that point, I decided to switch back to the original defective pair and just wear them until they fall apart. within 2 weeks of switching back, now the first defective pair have popped a seam on the inside of the right boot. Again, welcome ventilaion, but not as it should be. So, the issues are as follows: Pair 1: separating sole, stitching coming lose on Velcro flap, and seam coming lose on leather and canvas joint Pair 2: separating sole, leather separating at Achilles, and leather separating at inside right above sole Customer Service: initially helpful, no continued support after first round of assistance All-in-all, I really liked these boots until they began to fall apart. I would consider Reebok boots again if I knew they weren't going to just fall apart and if I knew customer service were going to stand by their product...not just once, but throughout the warranty period...regardless of how many times they send defective products.

3-1/2 YEARS of the BEST SHOES OF MY LIFE
These have been amazing! These are my most reliable footwear. I have worn them every week usually every day all day. Ive welded up probably 50 different metal projects and worked long 13+ hour days up hustling around a shop as fast as I can. Ive ran 5 miles through the snow with an extra 35 lbs of weight on me and these have never let me down. Worked a 10.5 hour shift in them today and cut some steel with a circular saw while standing on the metal with liquid hot magma spitting all over me feet and everything held up perfect. I had to vaccum steel off of them because it was stuck everywhere. These are the best boots moneyc an buy. In and out like slippers but you can literally go to battle every day with these on,I HIGHLY recommend them and footwear is SUPER IMPORTANT to me
