Perfect find
I looked for quite some time in craft and fabric stores for stretchable neutral fabric and could not find. Looking on Amazon for a last ditch effort was a life saver. The fabric not only is soft, thick, and maneuverable; it was also the color I was looking for. Thank you Amazon for your wide range of products.

Super Soft, Great Quality, Misleading Photo Though
This was exactly what I wanted in texture. The shade was a little bit lighter of a flesh tone than what I thought it would be. I should not have gone on the photo of the semi finished doll to decide. It is the exact same photo the company used in a listing for polyester doll skin that I had previously ordered, so I thought this cotton version would be the exact same shade. The quality was excellent and cheaper than similar cotton doll skin on ETSY. I am getting ready to order again but in a darker tone, this is just a little too white instead of flesh, in my opinion. It looked perfect when I got it out of the nice waterproof package, but too close to white once it is stretched, especially when I held it up to a Waldorf doll I bought at Christmas and a Baby Juno I had made.

Is THIS what people use for doll skin??? I'm asking because it was my first time making a doll out of knit fabric and I'm not impressed. The fabric is not forgiving. If you drive a neddle through it it more than once, you'll get a hole or a run or a tear. If you double stitch a seam line, it'll rip apart. It is not durable. It's tough to sew too. My doll was a success, and it's cute, but I'm pretty worried about how it will last over the years. I thought about putting fabric glue along the head's back seam, but didn't for fear of not being able to sew hair on over it. It's not made for a child, but still. I wonder if I could've used something stretchier. Otherwise, I liked the color, it looks good with my chosen hair color.

Great quality for special projects, but too pricey for practice.
I used this material to make a Waldorf doll. It’s very sturdy and stretchy—perfect for making arms and legs. However, it was too thick for detailed parts like fingers and toes. It also stains easily, and the stains are hard to remove, so that’s something to keep in mind. It’s a bit pricey, so for me, this is a special-occasion purchase to make a meaningful doll for my child. I wouldn’t use it just for practice or trying out doll-making.

I was expecting a yard of jersey knit. Jersey knit comes in 60 inches wide not 30
