UGREEN 8K@60Hz HDMI Switch 5 in 1 Out, Aluminum, HDR10+, with Remote

quite literally a lifesaver. it makes having a bunch of consoles and streamers really easy, and the remote that it comes with is a really nice touch. I noticed no drop in speed from my ps5, switch 2, or Xbox. it switches HDMIs really quickly and its a really nice piece. it feels hogh quality (metal body) i just wish the remote felt as high quality too, just some cheap plastic. overall though about a month with it and im really happy

So I've had this switch for well over a year. Here's what you need to know. 1. It supports all major next gen gaming systems. I have a PS5 Pro, Switch 2 and an Xbox Series X hooked up to my Samsung Q80T (2020 edition with only one HDMI 2.1 in) tv. ALLM and VRR do work through this box at 4k resolution and at 120HZ. I've seen some review stating otherwise and can tell you with confidence it is the poor cables they are using. Your standard 8k HDMI cable will have a rough time getting all the bells and whistles that new consoles can throw at them without issues. Now add a switch box in the stream and cheaper cables will crumble under the stress. You will absolutely have to upgrade your cables if you want to use this box, and most likely any 8k switch box made before 2024, to run flawlessly. I use Audio Quest Pearl cables. They're expensive but worth it. 2. Sound quality is not degraded by this box. I run my game systems and a PC through this box to my tv and out through eARC to an atmos receiver. I get 7.1 from every source. I would highly recommend this box for anyone with more HDMI 2.1 devices than you have inputs for in your tv.

Great product — I originally purchased an Anker but it wasn’t maintaining a stable HDMI handshake with my PS5 at 4K — not this one. One huge plus is that it comes with a power adapter so you don’t have to use a USB port to power the device like some other switches. I had to tweak a few settings, but this UGREEN has worked seamlessly with all my devices and I couldn’t be happier paying a bit more for a product that actually works. Would highly recommend.

Was a good switch till after not even a year of owning it it basically just fizzled out. Save yourself $60 and buy something else. Enough signal gets through my TV can tell what system is playing but even a reboot of the switcher and still no screen. No sound nothing.

Well, these HDMI switches can certainly be a crap shoot. I've now had two of these. One that has worked fairly well and the first which simply refused to work at all. I will say for the cost of this switch made is is highly appealing and it's worth the headache to find one that works. The build quality is fairly impressive based on looks alone however that can't be a measure for how well then internals are constructed obviously. But once you have a good unit the value for the money is absolutely there. Tried a well rated switch for days before settling on this one and the big draw for me was UGreen itself. I've bought some really high quality products from them in the past and I felt, given the reviews for most HDMI switches this was my best beat. And overall it's paid off. The signal quality from every port is nearly perfect. A slight HDR static can occur but quickly disappears as the HDMI handshakes take place. The audio signals are nearly perfect. My PC apparently had a problem sending any audio other than 7.1 PCM to anything other than an Amp, Soundbar or TV so I gave up trying to use this with that, but that was easily solved. Every device I have works perfectly with the exception of the PS5. I don't know what Sony's got going one with that dumb thing but Dolby Atmos just will absolutely NOT work with anything even remotely outside of a television or amp. HDR signals all come through perfectly. 11.2.1 Dolby Atmos, DTS X, True HD, PCM, etc. all work without issues from all of my other devices and I'm able to use VRR/144Hz signals at 4K with zero noticeable lag. I won't say there isn't any because every device had some lag when you have to use a go between for functionality, but as I said I don't notice anything. Additionally, the switching from one input to the next works exceedingly well and the remote is instantly responsive. So much so it worked with my old Harmony remote system flawlessly. There's no auto switching but given my experience with that tech I prefer telling the switch what device to focus on. So, with all this high praise why the 4/5? It's not perfect. If it worked with my PS5 properly, absolutely. I'd even be able to overlook the fact that it took two of these things to get one that works, but it doesn't. It's unbelievable to me that after two decades we still can't get HDMI switches that simply work as advertised. I'm sure HDCP and HDMI eARC have something to do with it, but it is what it is. So, 4/5 it is. TLDR, 4/5 took two units to find one that works. Hopefully it don't take you as many or even more (cringe). Works flawless with nearly everything, expect PC and PS5 audio signals over HDMI.

Ok I have to say having use multiple HDMI switches in the past This is by far the best one I've ever had and will be buying a few more. What sets this apart from others is that it actually works. Others I've used tend to lose the signal and you spend more time fiddling with the switch trying to get signal but often to no avail. This one right out of the box worked flawlessly it does have a slight delay in between inputs but it works it has a solid feel and the remote works well too. I would not look anywhere else if you're looking for a switch sure it is a little on the pricey side but it's worth it to not have to deal with an item that doesn't work This one just works. I have not checked to see if the HDMI output performs above 60 hz just because I don't have a monitor that performs above that so maybe someone else has some insight on that

Rating: 3.5 (rounded down due to ratings system) For context, I play video games at my computer desk with multiple consoles (PlayStation 3 CECHA-01, Xbox Series S, MiSTer FPGA, PlayStation 2 over RetroTink-5X Pro in conjunction with desktop output) connected over HDMI to an ASUS ROG XG27UCS monitor. All cables are 80Gbps-capable 2m JSAUX cables. In the vast majority of cases, this switch works fine when actively powered with the included power supply, all the way up to 4K160. However, occasionally there will be a complete drop in signal of around 1.5-2 seconds, usually enough to trip the XG27UCS' input autoselect, hence I disabled it. Usually the signal reestablishes itself. It's when the signal doesn't and then you play musical chairs with inputs and switcher power through disconnecting the barrel connector that this becomes less than a set-and-forget solution. I'm at an advantage in use-case as I'm doing everything at the same desk but for living room-distance media usage I'd be concerned about the stability of reliance on this device. This is not limited to 4K/120+ HDR either, I've had similar issues at 1080p with HDR off. Technically it could be a cable length issue, but JSAUX is a widely-used standard of sorts for value cables with good quality and this device should be built enough to handle a 2m 80gbps cable if the display itself can run said cable direct to input without issue. At first the signal drops impacted RetroTink-5X usage, which was disappointing but understandable given its unorthodox capacity to display in non-HDMI-standardized formats as a consequence of its design - but as the issue grew to my Xbox Series S and increasingly started to require input/power manipulation to try and brute-force it back up again I lost my taste for the product as it stands. I don't think it's a consequence of the monitor either considering the lack off issue with the cables directly connected, and with autoselect disabled. Once they solve the signal stability issues, I think it'll be reliable enough to call it a great, value solution to a desktop receiver, but for now it's occasionally a handful and infrastructural hardware should never be under question if you want a setup to be permanent.

Works at 4K @ 120 HZ and HDR. I chose to use one of these on each monitor instead of a KVM. That way it functions more like a matrix switch, but much less expensive. I have 3 monitors, and a cable from each computer to each switch. So I can run triple display on my Mac, my PC, my work PC, a server, a laptop, etc. or have any combination of monitors showing from each computer. I use a separate switch for Keyboard and Mouse switching (currently just a basic USB 2.0 switch, but moving to a L1Techs KM switch because the plugging/unplugging of keyboard and mouse for each switch is painful). The remote works great. The problem is that because I have 3 switches, the remote controls all 3 at once, which is fine if you want to run a triple display on just one PC. For other combinations you have to use the button on the switch. I do wish the button was on the front though, so that I could stack these. If another company makes one with the button on the front, I may have to "switch".

I have an older LG Flat Screen TV that was gifted to me that unfortunately only has 1 HDMI port. Thus, I purchased this HDMI switch to connect all my HDMI devices to my TV, and...quite simply put, this HDMI switch does the job. However, it's dependent on your HDMI cables. When I tried it initially, I used two old 6ft long HDMI cables to connect to my HDMI devices and had mixed results. As a result, I bought some newer cables at shorter lengths, 2.3 and 3.3ft and it works perfectly now. I used this HDMI switch to connect my Wii U, ps3 and my android phone via HDMI to USB-C cable and they all work perfectly now. Both video and audio come through. The device itself looks quite sturdy. The remote works great, and is very responsive. It has one button for each port. But you can also press the button on top to cycle through the different HDMI ports. The only caveats are that there's no way to turn this device on/off. It's basically always on, so long as it's plugged in. And no auto switching. All that said, I would recommend this HDMI switch. Just ensure you get good quality HDMI cables, preferably at shorter lengths to have less degradation.

I’ve been using this switch for a few weeks and it’s been flawless. I run a (OG) Switch, PS5, Steam Deck, and a mini-PC through our 4K TV and the switch handles everything without any hiccups — crisp 8K/60Hz output, accurate HDR colors, and zero perceptible lag when changing sources. The aluminum chassis feels sturdy and looks great on my desk, and switching is instant and reliable. Setup was plug-and-play and audio passthrough to my AVR has been rock-solid. There are rare instances where the display will refresh or black-out every few seconds but restarting the TV and switching the source signal. I've been a fan of different UGREEN products and so far, they all deliver so I am pleased that this one is no different. If you need a compact, dependable way to manage multiple HDMI devices, this one delivered excellent results for me.
