Actually really good if you're not looking for a heavy-duty injury splint.
This is a very comfortable, unobtrusive support brace--it's just not really a traditional splint. If you have confirmed De Quervain's, an associated thumb instability/wrist injury that is actively, currently inflamed, or if you are looking for something that is going to absolutely LOCK YOU IN--this is not the brace for you. However, if you are like me--joint hypermobility disorder with multiple daily subluxations but low-to-medium associated pain, working actively with a PT and heat/exercise for preventative therapy, a retail job with 30-pound-ish lifts give or take, and VERY small forearms--this might be the brace for you. The actual brace itself is very flexible and allows for a high degree of mobility, but provides a small amount of resistance that is a good reminder for me not to abuse my body's naturally screwy range of motion. This is why it would be ineffective as an injury splint: if you are hurt, this will NOT stop you from hurting yourself further. This is not an injury brace. This is a support garment that happens to be listed as an injury-brace because a lot of the terminology in Ortho is just a series of really vague Venn-diagrams. (Technically, this IS a spica splint.) If you currently have De Quervain's tenosynovitis and are avoiding seeing an actual doctor about it: this thing will not save you from DQT. I've had it bilaterally for years. Take the plunge and get your recommended corticosteroid injection at the injury-site, buy a heated beanbag, and do all the things your physical therapist tells you to do to the letter. (As an aside for those with mild to moderate hEDS, it might also keep your wrist-bones from popping out of place while using a keyboard. I only just now noticed this, as I've been typing this review. Mostly I wear it at work for pincer-grasp lifts, so subluxations are unavoidable, but my ulnar rotates frequently while using fine-motor motions in my fingers and forearms due to the simple fact that God basically replaced all my connective tissues with silly-string as a fun little prank. I'm still getting some clicking, but there is a noticeable improvement.) Initially ordered in size 'small' a few months ago because I have tiny baby hands (I am an adult man who can semi-comfortably wear child-size gloves. It's hard out here for a short king.) but realized quickly that when they say 'small' they mean 'not sized for an adult', and took it off quickly because my fingertips were turning white. If you are a woman with small hands, a teenager, or the same breed of extra-medium show-twink as me, do NOT buy a small. The 'small' was so tiny that I can only imagine they used Dora the Explorer as their baseline. I have a wrist circumference of approx 14 centimeters and a palm-breadth of approx 7.5 centimeters, and the medium is a perfect fit. The compression is a little bit light, but it's definitely still doing SOMETHING supportive because I can feel the difference in stability and joint-fatigue when I take them off. This would probably be comfortable on a wrist up to about 18 centimeters, but any more than that might be pushing your luck. Brace itself is metal, which is nice. I would destroy this thing in a month if it was only plastic. It slips out with some fairly easy wiggling and the fabric doesn't seem like it's going to fray, nor did mine have any visible sharp edges that would wear through the fabric with heavy use. It doesn't seem to get *too* sweaty, though as with all compression garments it'll need a good scrub eventually. I recommend hand-washing this thing just to make the elastic qualities last as long as possible. Soak it in soapy water (I spray a little diluted vodka on my support garments periodically, because this isn't amateur hour) and then wrist and air-dry. All-in-all, this thing is like a really basic sports-bra for your thumb and wrist. If you're built small and nothing needs to be battened down hurricane-style in order for you to comfortably throw your weight around, this contraption is great. If your thumb and wrist pain is more of an "if I don't lock this sh!t down like the Martians are invading someone might lose an eye" type situation, look elsewhere. I think most of the people who were disappointed in this brace probably needed a level of immobilization they're only going to be able to get with a full-strap inflexible brace. (The tradeoff for proper medical immobility is, unfortunately, comfort. And not looking like you're wearing Megaman's arm-cannon.) TL;DR - Light compression, low restriction of mobility, most comfortable one I've ever worn. If whatever you have is severe, please just suck it up and buy yourself an actual injury splint. This is NOT the volcano-forged gauntlet of stage 3 tendinopathy recovery. This is a tablet-glove that will politely but effectively ask your bones to stop swearing in church.

Mild support, very comfortable.
It is comfortable, but it also doesn't do much depending on your needs. It does limit movement; however, it doesn't provide stabilization. Also, it looks like it's adjustable, but it isn't. It's sewn together; you slip it on like a glove. Small is a perfect fit for me, my wrists are 6.5" if that helps.

Order a size up and only if you need a light stabilizer, not a immobilizer
The cons: his wrist and thumb stabilizer runs small and the fabric is not very stretchy, making it uncomfortable to put it on and to wear for a long period of time. In addition, the position of the metal splint works appropriately on the left hand, but it feels out of place on the right hand, despite being advertised as for either the left or the right hand. The pros: It is light weight, the fabric is soft, and it does provide a bit of support while allowing movement of the thumb and wrist. This is all I need but it may not work for someone that needs a immobilizer instead of a stabilizer. It also washes and dries easily.

Nude color is great
The wrist thumb brace mommy compression is a super neutral tone that is not super noticeable. It works well to help thumb pain I get from crocheting. The material is 100% water resistant and easy to use doing daily tasks like dishes or bathing the kids. As a small person it fits well and isn't bulky at all. It's like a second skin. It reduces mobility but allows for reduced movement without a problem.

Lightweight and comfortable
My thumb has been hurting for a few months. Tried this today, looked too small to get on but it fit perfectly and my hand doesn't hurt. I plan to wear it all the time. Lightweight and comfortable!

If you are looking for support, this isn't it.
If you are looking for support, this isn't it. I really wanted this to work! I have avoided wearing my regular brace because it gets on my nerves, it is awkward, heavy, and hot. I have a small wrist- a smidge over 6 inches, but purchased the medium because of some of the reviews. The small might have worked better, but then again, I would not have been able to get it over my hand and painful thumb if I had. This "splint" is smooth, soft, and comfortable, but provides no support. It is perfect, however, for wearing under a more substantial splint, and that is what I am doing. For reference, I purchased the Fortemotus CMC thumb brace and am quite happy with it.

excellent support for thumbs
I almost didn’t purchase this because of the name but decided to ignore it. I have arthritis in both thumbs which is crazy painful. I had a hard plastic brace that gave my thumb support but cut into my skin. Then I purchased light ‘glove like’ braces that were fine but didn’t really support the thumbs. Honestly, this brace is great. It is very light but totally supports the thumb. I highly recommend it. It is definitely worth the money. I’m pretty picky and usually complain about things not being manufactured well but this is durable, offers great compression, and was easy to put on. It’s also easy to clean. You won’t be disappointed and your thumbs will be happy.

Comfortable material, but support is on the wrong side.
I love it because it is comfortable, but I am disappointed that the metal support is on the back of my thumb instead of the front, where the problem is. Other than that, the material adjusts to your skin, is very soft, and you forget you have it on.

Poca inmovilización del pulgar para disminuir el dolor del tendón, colocar una barra más larga
La barra no abarca la articulacion para fijarla y disminuir el dolor del tendón, sugerencia que la barra sea más larga
