Awesome knife! Review after 3 mo use
I didn't write this review when I got the knife. It's not an unboxing review. This is a review with pictures taken after 3 months of heavy use. Wow. What a great neck knife! This thing has held up so well I honestly can't believe it for the price point, or for any price really. The blade is still in great shape, no knicks or dings. It's been used as a screwdriver, paint scraper, pry bar, and God knows what else other than a typical knife. But it got plenty of use cutting as well. I've opened cans with it. Used it to eat my dinner. Chip away ice. Chip away concrete splatter. It's held up superbly. The size is perfect for its multiuse role. The blade design is both unique and useful for everything from slicing to chopping. It's stayed in the sheath exactly as it should. Never falls out. But comes out with a quick tug and goes back in just as easy. The handle and sheath have held up just as well as the knife. The only maintenance I've done is given it a couple quick swipes with a 600 grit sharpener as needed and it's ready to go. This is a great neck knife and I highly recommend it.

Is there a winner?
This is where Amazon asks what others should know. First and foremost Amazon customer should know that this is strictly a personal opinion/experience after seeing the awesome price of this knife and having relatively recently developed a keen appreciation of Wharncliffe blades after decades of use, appreciation, and a bit of training on other forms. From some of the comments here, it would seem others have also developed a similar fascination. Fortunately, we bought the CRKT S.P.E.W. from Amazon before WM took exclusive ownership of the line, so, they can confirm real world ownership, anyway. Someone asked whether the CRKT was physically built in USA. Nope. They don't put it on the blade as the others have, but it is stated on the box. It's made in Taiwan. It is also possible that the steel originates in Japan, then goes to Taiwan for assembly. This may also be true of these Drachenaders and the ColdSteel folder. Both are the same 2.++mm thick, and neither had been particularly well honed to remove grind marks along their edges, though the Drach was discernably "sharper" out of the box - slick box that it is! The same may be true of the older, thinner, net 2.0mm thick SPEW -given its composition. We don't know that, though. We are trying to sort these questions out as we go. CS competes in the NeckKnife market with a flipper - touting structural strength as their marketing team is prone to doing. We found it kind of clugey. We needed to loosen the hinge screw to get a touch of lateral wobble in the blade - both to complete the flip without worrying that the blade could fall back and chomp a finger - her to also release the spine lock just to close it back up. All up, the CS wins nothing in our experience. Stubby Blade. Longest open body. Highest price. Some may well eat that stuff up. Two left: Now, the Drac wins big on price even against an incentivized WM flash sale price for the CRKT. BUT, cliché though it may be, the additional length - if only 3/8th - matters AND for those appreciating that little drain hole as "attention to detail", know that, worn as a NeckKnife, it will drain sweat, blood spatter, and rain down onto the grip. You want that? God bless! Some may validly argue that the Drach's additional 2++mm thickness (and around 20% heavier) makes it stronger than the CRKT. We agree it should, but have not tested bendability of these knives. We are counting on that Dragons Talon to wreak the havoc the CS marketers demonstrate. Not only is the Drachs blade shorter, it's grip is shorter too, and nowhere near as grippy as the slimmer contoured SPEW. We get back to screw loosening. Our Drach cannot be made to yank free of the sheath retainer without a sharp jolt to our necks followed by a quick bounce-up - either in our face or under our chins. We have removed the tensioning screw and it's resilient o-ring, yet still can't thumb it out/loose as perfectly and quietly as CRKT has the SPEW preset to do straight out of the box. Based on our limited experience, that handed the win to CRKT. We will happily hang on to the truly cool Drach & CS and just tuck them wherever it seems another rapid-deployment tool ought to be. We hope these metrics get a bit more conversation going. At its high quality and low price, the Drach is sure to draw people who read and take reviews to heart. It virtually makes its own forum! Living in a small, aging bubble, we have been wrong - once ... and it was decades back ; ) - so, please, if you know, have, or spot something, don't hesitate to bring it on.

Not very good
It's a $20 knife, so you get what you pay for. Mine came a little bent, dull & has quickly begun scuffing from the sheath. I'd have returned it if it was worth the hassle. But the sheath is well designed. The box is too. It's an interesting design for a knife which is why I picked it. Overall, it's not very good but I wasn't expecting the highest quality.
