Serac #1 Ultra Strength Locking Carabiners x2 (one Pair), Ultra Durable & Strong Perfect Classic Single or Sequoia Double hammocks - Made from Ultralight Aircraft Grade Aluminum

So I had bought the locking carabiners to use with my hammock. When I had bought the hammock I didnt get the carabiners with it thinking I still had some around with my gear. My mistake, Serac had amazing prices tho. When I got my item I could these were good qulity, they felt sturdy in your hand. I did a hang test with them something I do with all my support devices and they did not disappoint. Since they have held up me and the hammock nine times now. They are amazing they light weight the bright green that mine are makes it easy in lo light and knurled locks make for easy use love these amd the price. If I need anything else for my hammock Serac will be my go to.

I needed something lightweight and durable to quickly attach my large Rottie pup's vehicle restraint systems (think of seatbelt/harness for dogs) to anchor points in my vehicle and these carabiners are awesome! They are lightweight, strong and are easily manipulated and locked with one hand. I plan on buying a hammock this spring and will be buying some more that the hammock and others to have on hand if I ever need something handy to quickly strap something down on the back of my truck.

Finally, a decent set of locking carabiners. The threads on the lock nut are smooth and the carabiner locks securely. Other brands I have purchased were very poorly made and sometimes the threads were cut incorrectly.These, however, seem to be very nice. They are definitely utility carabiners though. Good for key rings and other small tasks. I would NEVER trust any substantial weight to these (especially not human weight). These are just well made, lightweight, carabiners.

I'm super excited to have finally found a lightweight, average sized carabiner that actually has a strength rating listed. Previously I had only been able to find much larger carabiners intended for saving your life if you fall off a cliff, or the ones you can buy for a dollar in any checkout line that are "not for use in climbing".These are exactly what I was looking for. Lightweight, same size as the ones I have my keys on, but significantly more durable. I've been wanting them to use with my dog's leash and they have been fantastic. No signs of wear whatsoever.The downside is I'm not crazy about the locking mechanism. Like I said, I'm using them on my dog leash, and the lock doesn't stay closed tight when it bounces around a lot. It hasn't busted open or anything, but it leaves me with a false sense of security, and if it's not actually going to lock, I'd rather not have that extra piece on there because it just kind of gets in the way.

Bought a couple of these to get away from the cheap overseas knock offs. I'm impressed with the strength of the locking mechanism. Very well made. Light weight to the hand, but feels super durable. these are really nice. i am not a climbing or rope expert i am using these for other purposes. i have worked in metal industries before though and i can say these are really well made . i love the look of them and they feel very solid and not flimsy like the cheap ones. they are not rated for climbing but are rated for 1000 lbs so that is pretty solid.i would buy these again.

A bit on the tinny side. Not as "solid and heavy" as I expected but decent. I however would not climb with them.

Finally got to use these with my Kamock python straps and they worked perfectly. We actually ended up hanging 2 hammocks on one of the hooks and we had no problems. They seem really sturdy and they are the perfect size. Also not too heavy which was great since we backpacked in.
