Autobest42S Externally Mounted Universal Gasoline Electric Fuel Pump

Worked well to empty 34 gallon fuel tank of boat with cracked engine block. Bought Roadpro 12V fused replacement cigarette lighter plug and wired pump to it. Connected to battery via female socket cable with battery post clips. Replaced fuse with 15 AMP. Took several minutes to prime and begin pumping for 30 inch rise, need to be patient. 8 minutes to pump 5 gallons through inline filter that comes with pump. Very satisfied, willing to trade time (low volume output) for cost of likely limited or one time use item.

I rarely write negative reviews but this product earned it's low score. I tried to use it to prime a fuel system on a tractor, but it's suction was so low that it only pumped a few drops of fuel. Bought an Airtrex pump, hooked it up and primed the entire fuel system in seconds. The Airtrex was only $10 more but what a difference.

I bought this for my 1997 Honda vt1100c shadow spirit motorcycle replacement and also bought a spare just in case it fails ,I carry it with me, but I like it ,works fine so far been about 2 months , will see if it holds up to continuous riding, update I switched this pump out for an airtex one , it was working fine , I liked it ,just thought maybe this new pump might last longer ,maybe not . I have a spare that works good now just in case

Pump works great on getting gas out of my boat. Not the fastest pump but will do the job. Flow rate says 42 GPH but I got almost 70GPH. Not for sure how they measure the flow rate but I had the tube in the tank, pump sitting on deck and gas can down in bilge which is about the same height as the tank. So pump pulled up 2 1/2 ft, went through pump and dropped 2 1/2 ft into gas can.

Used on a motor with my son's duck boat.

perfect solution to empty boat tank for clean out. Hook up was easy.Recommendation: prime the line behind pump and container with a siphon pump, than start motor.Took about 20 min to get 20 Gal in a container.Works great.

Eventually it didn't self-prime anymore. I had to shake it and jerk it to get it to prime. Then 1 beautiful day it just died completely. All in all it lasted about 1 year.

This thing is junk, total junk. Don't waste ur money, use it once for 3 minutes to tested and work one went to use it the other day and is totally dead. Only reason I only gave 1 star is cause I can't give it a -2
