Worked okay for less than 6 months with light use, then the battery died. I replaced the battery (which was cheap, but it's an odd size, so I had to order them) and now it's giving me super low temperatures in seconds instead of waiting the full time. I double checked that I installed the battery correctly and tried to reset it. I don't know if I just got a bad one or what but I definitely ordered a different brand just now as a replacement.Update: The seller reached out, apologized, and refunded me completely. They asked for the model number to address with the factory and check similar ones to avoid the issue, but I had already thrown it away. The time they took reaching out and addressing it makes me think I just got unlucky with the one I received.

Accuracy in DoubtI’ve had this for a year and two months based on when Amazon says I purchased it. I’ve got an infection with a fever right now and have been monitoring my temp with this. But I’m going to have to get a second thermometer. I can’t trust this one. I can take my temp five times in a minute and get five different readings, all different. For example, I just now did it several times and I got 99.3, 98.4, 99.0, 99.6, 98.6. Over a full degree of variation seems excessive to me. This isn’t a one off either. I’ve been trustful of it since I got it but since I’m supposed to be tracking my temp carefully right now, I need to get one I can rely on.
