Elevate Your Audio, Literally: The "Ear-Level" Advantage of the Sanus HTBS Adjustable Stands!
Got all the pieces. Easy set up Sound is decent. Dont think you getting movie theater sound. The weight is light. Just follow the instructions In the world of home theater, "Placement is King." If you are running a 5.1 or 7.1 surround system with satellite speakers, the SANUS HTBS Adjustable Stands are the most cost-effective way to transition from "sound in a room" to a "cinematic experience." After integrating these into a mid-range satellite setup, here is my expert breakdown of why Sanus remains the industry standard for mounting solutions. The Engineering: Stability Meets Versatility Sanus is known for over-engineering their products, and while these are designed for "Small" speakers (up to 3.5 lbs), they don't feel like toys. The heavy-gauge steel pillars and wide, weighted bases provide a low center of gravity. This is crucial if you have pets or children; these stands are designed to resist tipping better than almost any generic brand Iโve tested in this price bracket. Acoustics: The 10-Inch Sweet Spot The standout feature is the 10" height adjustment. For the best immersion, your "tweeters" (the top part of your speaker) should be at ear level when you are seated. These stands allow you to dial in that exact height, ensuring that high-frequency soundsโlike dialogue and crisp sound effectsโreach your ears directly rather than bouncing off the floor or furniture. PROS Universal Compatibility: Between the L-shaped brackets and the keyhole adapters, these will fit 99% of small satellite speakers (including popular models from Bose, Polk, Sony, and Klipsch). Integrated Cable Management: One of my biggest pet peeves is "cable spaghetti." These stands feature a hollow pillar that allows you to route your speaker wire internally, creating a clean, professional look that keeps the "spouse-approval factor" high. Weighted Base Design: The bases are heavy enough to stay put on thick carpet but include rubber feet for hardwood floors to prevent scratching and acoustic rattling. Dead-Simple Assembly: Even for a novice, the DIY assembly takes less than 15 minutes. The instructions are clear, and all necessary hardware is included. Sleek Aesthetic: The matte black finish is non-reflective, ensuring these won't catch the glare from your TV or projector screen during a movie. CONS Strict Weight Limit: 3.5 lbs means 3.5 lbs. Do not try to mount medium-sized bookshelf speakers or heavy Sonos units on these. They are strictly for "satellite" speakers. Wire Gauge Limitations: If you are using heavy-duty 12-gauge speaker wire, you might find it a tight squeeze through the internal channel. 14 or 16-gauge wire works perfectly. Top-Heaviness: While the base is weighted, if you extend them to their full maximum height, they naturally become a bit more prone to swaying if bumped. Overall Input The Sanus HTBS Speaker Stands are a masterclass in "entry-level audiophile" gear. They solve the three biggest issues of home theater setup: height, stability, and wire management. For the price of a couple of movie tickets, you are getting a permanent upgrade to your home theaterโs soundstage and aesthetics. Pro-Tip: When setting these up, don't just "guess" the height. Sit in your favorite viewing spot, have someone measure the distance from the floor to your ear, and set the stand height so the speaker's tweeter aligns with that measurement. The difference in clarity will be immediate and significant! Who is this for? Anyone with a "Home Theater in a Box" system, owners of small satellite speakers (Bose, etc.), and apartment dwellers who want a professional look without drilling holes in the walls.

Perfect for surround speakers
They're very sturdy, look great, and are easy to assemble

Attractive, solid and functional, but take caution in the assembly process!
First, let me say that the speaker stands were exactly the design and configuration I was needing for my rear satellite speakers of my Samsumg surround sound - sound bar system. They are sturdy, well constructed, and the bases are solid and heavy without being obstrusive. I particularly liked the built in cord managment feature allowing the speaker wire to be threaded through the hollow support posts making for a sleek and professional appearence while providing a method of easy and versitile height adjustment. Now for the only down side illiciting four stars. For the most part the assembly is fairly straight forward except for a few small but potentially maddenly complications. First the screws and various parts are a bit confusing trying to address different speaker configuations, and there are only the minimun number of items, no spares. My speakers required the Key-hole mount configuration, but the heads of the only screws provided for this were too large to fit the key hole, leaving me to go on safari in my tool drawers for a suitable replacement screw and bolt (more size options should be offered). This was a minor inconvienence, but the next issue was serious enough to require a return and replacement via Amazon. At the top of the support posts is a threaded hole for attachment of a speaker base. One of my posts threaded holes was stripped out or incorrectly drilled and would not fit any of the screws provided making the assembly useless after a hour of work, thus prompting the return and replacement which Amazon handled superbly. In addition, a caution in the assembly of the support post system. The posts to provide height adjustment rely on a shaft inside of a shaft sliding system that is then secured with a conical plastic sleeve piece that slides down and tightens with a twisting motion. The tolerances are very small to provide a secure fit (in structural engineering this is called a Morris taper) If by accident (which is very easy to do) during assembly, this sleeve gets pushed upward on the superior post to the curve, the sleeve will absolutly lock in place unable to be budged, once again rendindering the assembly useless, requiring the aforementioned replacement. On the second go around with the replacement assembly I attached a zip tie superiorly on each shaft as a precausion and the assembly was completed without any issues. The end result and a reward for my troubles, is a great looking and functional pair of attractive speaker stands. Just check all parts and fits before diving in to the final assembly process; you could save yourself wasted time and headache inducing frustrations.

Functional and attractive stands for small surround sound speakers.
This is the second set of these I purchased and they work great for anyone who needs small surround sound speakers mounted behind something like a couch that isn't placed up against a wall. It has cable routing options though if you have RCA style jacks you won't be able to route the cable inside the hollow stand tubes, but they do provide OneWrap style cable management ties to secure the cables against the outside of the stand. It isn't as perfectly clean but it looks nice and neat overall. The kit comes with a variety of mounting options for different types of speakers. I had small Vizio surrounds and used the included L bracket and Vizio mounting screws. The base is heavy and provides stability to keep the stands from being easily knocked over. These stands work, look good and are nicely priced.

Loven it
I replaced surround sound that I had previously with this system. Iโm very pleased with how it activates perfectly every time I turn on the tv. It sounds great. I also like you can adjust the center speaker separately quickly. Overall itโs fast and easy to install and use

Great stands! Add a pair of washers and they work with Klipsch surrounds.
I mounted my Klipsch Surr 100 surround sound speakers on these stands. I wasnโt sure these were compatible with the Klipsch speakers since many other brands were called out as being compatible, but not Klipsch. I took a chance because they appeared to be exactly what I wanted, and the price was unbeatable. Technically, they are not compatible with Klipsch speakers because the mounting screw holes are not deep enough to accommodate the screws provided. However, I simply grabbed 4 thick steel washers and used a pair of them to fill the gap when I mounted each speaker to the stand, and voila, they tightened down nicely. And Iโm glad I took the few extra minutes to make these work, because they are great stands: solid, heavy, stable, attractive, with pads underneath to protect my hardwood floor.

Decent for the price but a bit wobbly
I bought these to get a couple of small satellite speakers up to ear level and they do the job well enough for basic home theater use. The assembly was very easy and I liked that I didnโt need any extra tools to get them put together. They look clean and the adjustable height feature is useful for getting the sound positioned correctly depending on where you are sitting. The main issue is that they are not as stable as I was hoping. The base is relatively lightweight and the poles feel a bit thin so if you have them extended to their max height they tend to sway a little if they are anywhere near a high traffic area. I would definitely be careful if you have pets or kids running around because it wouldnโt take much of a bump to tip them over. The weight limit is also very strict as anything even slightly heavier than the 3.5lb rating makes the stands feel top heavy and insecure. I also found that the wire management through the poles is a bit narrow which made it a struggle to thread some of the thicker speaker cables through. They are fine for tiny plastic speakers but I would probably look for something more heavy duty if you have actual wooden bookshelf speakers. Overall these are a fair option for a budget setup or a quiet corner where they won't be touched. They look nice and the tool free adjustment is convenient but the build quality is definitely reflective of the lower price point. They are okay for what they are but just keep your expectations realistic regarding the stability.

Adjustable stands that clean up satellite speaker placement
These stands let me position my satellite speakers at a better listening height without wall mounting. The included L-bracket and keyhole adapter made them compatible with my speakers, and assembly was straightforward. They are intended for lightweight speakers, so the 3.5-pound limit matters. Cable routing is functional but not completely hidden, and the bases need a stable surface.

Sleek and sturdy speaker stands
Fantastic speaker stands, thin, but really sturdy. They are thick metal, really well made, and suitable for most satellite speakers. They are truly amazing and suit my Bose surround speakers perfectly. Very reasonable delivery time especially from overseas, and so easy to put together, and adjustable to the perfect height. Highly recommend these too

Perfect for small surround sound speakers
Perfect for our small surround sound Bose speakers - they weigh about a pound each. These speakers do not have any holes in their back panels so could not fasten them with screws to the stands, but the adhesive speaker pads that are provided are sufficient. Easy to assemble and there was no problem feeding the speaker wires - these are older speakers, not wireless - through the pillars for a clean look. The bases are solid. Stands appear well made and are great value at this price.
