Canoe Wooden Knife Kit

Caution: you do have the assemble this knife! It is fairly easy to assemble, just follow the directions. We used bow string wax (can probably find at Academy or Amazon) to grease up the pieces to move easier per another review. Takes a little bit of wood glue for the outside pieces, but not necessary for inside as all those move. So awesome! My 5 year old now has a Case knife like Daddy's! We even bought him a matching sheath from Cavenders to go on his belt. Probably not super durable because of the thin wood, but EXCELLENT starter/trainer knife for kids. Or a neat gift for adults!

This little knife is a great toy and fun for kids to keep in their pockets like Dad or Grandpa. However, my 4 year old grandson wants to use it like a real knife. He broke one of the blades trying to open the tape on a cardboard box. It's durable for play, but not when a kid tries to use it like a real knife, lol. Durability gets a 4 still yet because it's not made for this kind of play. I recommend, you just have to watch that your kid doesn't do more than the knife is made for.

Nice for younger kids but hard to put together. Really hard.

My granddaughter and I had a great time putting her new knife together. Girls like pocket knives too! The quality and fit were quite good. It just needed a little trimming and sanding to finish it. The instructions were simple and clear. We put it together in just a few minutes. I am really impressed with the blade springs. It opens and closes like a real pocket knife. I'm getting another kit for my niece's little boy. Though this toy knife is quite realistic, I consider it a safe toy with some proper guidance and safe knife handling instruction. It's an excellent tool to teach good knife safety habits.

Exactly as advertised. Easy to put together with my daughter, and useful for teaching her about knife handling and safety. I especially like that it functions like a real knife (springs on the back, gives it a bit of resistance to opening, and some snap back when closing). I'll be buying one for my younger one when she gets a little older. Also, it even looks good in a green and blue marker paint job.

little boy loves it.we painted it to look like his daddy’s yellow case knife .we used bow string wax on the blades and he can open and close it easy.

I put it together and ROUGH. It requires alot of finishing like sanding, staining, sealing and other stuff... It woulod be a different story if the pieces fit together and didnt have rouch edges and splinters hanging off the ends...
