I tried this after a fresh blowout when my roots were starting to peek through, and it instantly made my hair look so much better. The coverage blended seamlessly with my color and gave me that just-colored look without another salon trip. I also tested it with my hair up—while it worked, I found it a little harder to control and had to be careful not to spray my face. For me, it’s definitely easier to apply with hair down since you can aim more precisely. What I love most is how it helps extend the life of my salon color, especially for covering grays in between appointments. Quick, easy, and effective—this will definitely be a staple for touch-ups.

Works with other dark color and reddish color Schwarzkopf dyed hair. Also used on eyebrows. Thought it would last past at least one shampoo.

The idea behind this product is solid. It does provide some coverage though you would want to apply it after you probably have your hair all the way styled. Whenever you apply and then work with the hair you’re going to get some pigment on your hands. The texture and volume promise on this product is sound. It does not get cake and sticky. It does provide plenty of texture and additional volume.

I really liked this Schwarzkopf Keratin Color Root Spray! The dark brown shade blended perfectly with my natural color and covered my gray roots instantly. It looks very natural not chalky or sticky and adds a bit of volume, which makes my roots look thicker. It’s super easy to use: just shake, spray, and go. It lasts until the next wash and doesn’t rub off easily, even on warm days. I also love that it’s ammonia-free and doesn’t have a strong smell. Perfect for when you don’t have time to dye your hair but still want it to look fresh and polished. Definitely a must-have for busy moms or anyone who wants salon results at home!

I really like this in dark brown. I use boxed dye over gray and it tends to fade weird (on the greenish side). Instead of toning it or coloring it more often (causing damage from more chemicals) this spray takes care of that and covers my gray roots also. However, I found that if I use gloves and spray it on my glove then run it through the roots it covers better than just spraying directly. For all over color spraying is fine but to pinpoint the roots the gloves work better for me. The sprayer is still strong but not nearly as powerful as L’Oréal. I didn’t like that about L’Oréal bc you have to hold it at just the right angle and distance from your hair or I’d get weird patchy areas I’d have to try to brush out. It’s also better than powders because the powders mattify my hair then I have to add shine back into it. I have tried quite a few powders and they all seem to make my hair look dull. This sprayer is a bit more forgiving. There’s no red in it. It’s a true dark brown. It works to cover faded areas and for grays. I finally found my cover up product! I will definitely buy this again. I will mention though, for anyone who has never used these types of root cover ups, you don’t want to scratch your head or you’ll get the ever under your fingernails. Also, it’s going to leave a ring around your tub. I’ve just gotten into the habit of washing the tub out after every bath. Still worth it though. I have not noticed any color on my pillowcase but have dark colored sheets. The his happens with all of them. No getting around it, unfortunately.

Works great as a root touch up. Good color match. If you rub your fingers through your hair at all, some product will rub off but this is the case for most sprays like this I’ve tried.
