I use this every single day with my GameSir Cyclone 2 on my PS5. It's fantastic! It's so nice using a good controller on my console. I tore through standard PS5 controllers, I have a dozen gathering dust with stick drift. But this was what I should have used all along. Saving me money and gaming so much smoother. I've used it with two other controllers with no problem. Can't recommend this highly enough. All consoles should do this by default, but until they do, Brook has my loyalty.

The web firmware update tool did not work with my Linux laptop (even through a VM). But worked perfectly with a Windows laptop. The device itself works great with no issues. I wish it used the USB-C port so I could plug it into the front of the console (as it can get quite warm on the ps5’s rear USB-A port). But I just plugged it into a converter and it worked fine at the front without issues.

If using this for ps5, put the Brook device into xinput mode and change your ps5 controller settings to usb.

It works. Not a fan of the price tag, seeing as it cost more than the controller I wanted to use on my PS5, but I've had no issues. Extremely simple plug-and-play setup, but you definitely need a good amount of slack in your cable as the adapter isn't the tightest fit in the port.

I was in the market for a way to use an Xbox style controller with hall effect sensors on my PS5. Trying a third party controller designed for the PS5 had too much input latency, worse than the OEM PlayStation dual sense controller. Not to mention the subpar build quality. And I'm using an MSI QD-OLEDmonitor with an HDMI 2.1 cable with my PS5 with all the appropriate settings enabled. This Adapter, (granted it is wired, though I usually play with a wired connection anyway.) has virtually the same input latency as using an OEM Playstation controller. And works with the Flydigi Vader 4 Pro that I usually use for my PC. Overall, Amazing product! And I would definitely recommend this to anyone else who'd prefer any other controller over the standard PlayStation 5 one.

Sometimes it works, mosdy of the time it doesn't. I've spent more time plugging it, the controller; or then controller and then it, into my PS5 trying to get it to work than actually playing games on the PS5 with a different controller. Tried using PS4 controller, Xbox Series X, Xbox Elite controller...they all have the same 50% chance of working for about 45 minutes. The worst part is that it requires you to completely restart the console if it doesn't initially work or stops working after half-an-hour. I regret every dollar I spent on this. Guess I'll just get used to the abomination that is the PS5 controller.

If the star rating system was in decimal format I would give this an actual rating of 4.7. The reason it's a 5 is because despite is minor flaw, it still delivers on it's promise and that's all I want. The minor flaw is that if you connect any controller to it and connect to PS5, depending on the controller you're using, you may notice latency or button input lag. In my testing I used a hautepad42 arcade stick and just basically switched between different set ups and see which had a faster response. Xbox controllers are probably the best to use with this. Sony controllers are fine but be wary this is where the minor flaw originated. Switch Pro controllers are also fine. If not probably better than Xbox controllers. When it works tho it's amazing. The ability to play any controller (in my case a stick) on any ps5 game is all I ever wanted. Worth the buy if that's what you want to do.

I don’t know how many folks are in my situation, but if you’re still on a PS4 Pro this isn’t going to work for you. You will need the Wingman FGC1, as I discovered while trying to get an old X360 Madcatz SFIV arcade fight stick to work with my PS4 Pro. Per the sage advice on the r/fightsticks subreddit: “If you plug an xbox 360 or PS3 controller of any kind into an FGC2, and plug the FGC2 into a PS4, it won't work. It's only mimicking a native PS5 controller. If you use an FGC1 in the same scenario, it can make PS360 controllers work on PS4 as PS4 controllers or a PS5 as a "PS4 Legacy Device" for specifically fighting games. FGC2 only works on PS5 because it's mimicking a dualsense basically. So the FGC2 is better if this is only for PS5, but if you're going to also potentially play PS4 games/play on a PS4 console, the FGC1 is going to be more versatile. It's not about the list of controllers you're plugging in, it's basically the same on both devices, it's about the actual output of the converter.” My complaint with — and why I gave this 3 stars — is because the above isn’t spelled out very well unless you do some digging as I did. I got lit up LED but no function, so I had to find this. Updating the firmware was easy to do when I realized I needed to do that. The gist of it is if you have a PS4, get the FGC1; if you have a PS5, get this version.

Très satisfait du produit. Pouvoir de nouveau utiliser plusieurs de mes pads PS4 et cette fois-ci dans des jeux PS5 fait plaisir. Mais ce qui est incroyable (et très utile) c'est de pouvoir utiliser mon pad Xbox dans les jeux PS5. Un seul bémol : tous les pads ne sont pas compatibles (mon pad Thrustmaster eSwap Pro par exemple ne marche pas). J'espère que Brook (le constructeur de cet article) sortira une mise à jour qui prendra en compte le pad que je viens de citer.

Ottimo prodotto funziona come convertitore anche per un arcade stick non presente nella loro lista di compatibilità (pxn008), consiglio di utilizzare una prolunga da attaccare alla ps5 e poi inserirci il convertitore per appoggiarlo su una superficie piana onde evitare che taballi (non accade se inseriti nella ps5 ma magari un movimento del controller potrebbe smuoverla) Consiglio caldamente Carinissimo il portachiavi
