Tracker Tag Bluetooth Tracker, Smart Tag Locator Tracking Device, Keys Finder...

Ok, so this wins the year!!!! GET 'EM!!!! What an amazing simple investment. So - true story: for whatever reason 2 of our vehicles only have one key each, so I put these on each key ring. *They don't fit great on a key ring, but they DO fit, just not great!* Anyway, it's the day after Christmas and we're cleaning like mad people, getting rid of wrapping paper and holiday stuff before we had an early flight the very next morning. Well, thank GOD my son offered to go fill up the truck with gas the night before our flight because that's when we realized we had no clue where the truck key was! After an hour I realized I had THIS tracker on the key ring and pulled up the "Find My " app on my phone. Lo and behold, it located our truck key outside? What? So I follow the "Find My" and it was located IN THE TRASH CAN THAT WE HAD PUT ON THE CURB!!!!!!! I was able to use the "notify" signal and it beeped until my son was able to open up the kitchen trash bag that the key ring had fallen into! Thank you LORD because we would've had to pay for new keying of the Raptor truck because garbage would've been picked up in the morning, never to be seen again! NOTE RE; FIND MY!!! -- Apply FindMy products are all crowd-based. Meaning that you are relying on yours and your NEIGHBORS' and unwitting others' wifi or 3G -enabled APPLE product to locate. Hence why when I first tried to find the keys, it just said a rough location outside because I was not close enough to it. So is it perfect? NO. But short of paying for GPS on your items (cha-CHING), this is a great alternative. Just don't expect to find your item if there's no Apple product that is getting internet signal nearby.

I would rather just spend the extra money and get the name brand. This one would not sync to my phone.

When you open this, you're likely to ask, "This is it?!" It's very light, it feels cheap, and my first one didn't work well and I had to exchange. The unit would not consistently turn off and on, even after a battery change, so I suspected a short in the unit. The 2nd one does work and with consistency. The hope is that it continues to work for the 1 flight I need it for :). The unit will power on and off and has a progressive ring to tell you it's on, and then you hold the button for a few seconds and it gives you a 2-beep off. These sounds are not very loud. Thankfully, it connects to your phone very easily, and when you activate the sound, it is a beep that progressively gets louder (and is much better than the one and off decibels). In short, there are probably better items out there, but for the cost/value and knowing it works, the price is about right. UPDATE: This provided great peace of mind on a flight with tracked checked baggage. During a layover I knew exactly where it was and could track it from origin plane to luggage hub to destination plane. Visually being able to see that was 100% reassuring!

I haven’t lost my keys with this tracker attached. I have however, lost — or misplaced — several other things that I wish had trackers attached. Because of that I regularly check to make sure that this one is still working and yes, it shows up on my Macbook or iPhone. It was very easy to set up on my iPhone. I’ve never owned an Apple AirTag so I can’t compare the two but I have absolutely no complaints for how this one works. It certainly is excellent for providing piece of mind!

Chat get it up work

This is my second tracker that I got from Amazon. This one only took about 1 minute to set up and start using. It connects to your phone's Find My app. It does require Bluetooth to connect. It is pretty much self connecting. No accounts or sign-ins, etc. When you lose your item that you attach this to, you simply go to your Find My App and look for the item. Name it "Car Keys" or whatever. It will beep reasonably loudly. You may obviously have to walk around to hear the beep. It also leaves a trail of where it was last when it is not in range of Bluetooth. I love these things. I just wish they were rechargeable, but I don't think they use much power. I recommend this one for sure.

Set-up was fast and easy with the included detailed instructions (though I found the small text hard to read without a magnifying glass). I'm habituated to keeping my house keys in the same spot. Any time I reach for them and they are not exactly there, I go into a brief panic mode. Most of the time, as it turns out, they are somewhere in the same room, just out of sight, and I have to carefully check the entire room (including under/behind furniture) until I find them. Now that I've connected the device to Apple's "Find My" app and then attached it to my set of house keys, instead of panicking when my keys are not where they're supposed to be, I can simple have the "Find My" app on my phone make the device beep continually so I can follow the sound and find them quickly. Love that.

This is a pretty good tag for the price. It lacks ultra-wideband, so it does not perform Precision Finding with the iPhone, but its speaker is very loud, even when partially blocked. The battery is also replaceable, with a notch on the side to make it easier to pry the sides apart. At time of writing, one oddity of the advertisement is the line of green dots. There are no green dots. Those dots are holes through the case, right above the speaker. This tracker has no form of waterproofing.
