Our kitty went blind due to high blood pressure and now is taking medication for it. Vet charges $70 each time they measure her BP and we decided to just measure it ourselves instead. After reading a lot of reviews for many different products we got this machine. First one we got didn't work properly so we returned it, but decided to give it another chance. So glad we did! The second machine we received works great and is easy to use. We got a neonatal cuff separately to fit her size and were able to make it work with minor adjustments. As you can see by the picture she is very relaxed while getting her BP taken, which should be much more accurate than after a stressful trip to the vet, which she hates.

My inlaws needed to have their blood pressure taken 2X daily. The readings from the community where they live were registering 30-40 points lower than at the cardiologist. The CONTEC fully automatic BP cuff was ideal for their use. The medical assistant uses this instead, we had the accuracy checked by the cardiologist and he said that it was within 5 points of the office reading! A win. Also the availability of different size cuffs was a huge win, my Mom in Law is very very slim, so the small cuff was ideal!

Wonderful My vet kept my dog on high pressure meds stating it was almost 200 With this scale it was 116. Of course, ones blood pressure will go up when going to the doctors. been giving my dog bood pressure meds for no just cause. Highly recommend getting this machine

Machine great, just issues with small cuff, did not work at all, leak in connection to machine.

Received 8/12. Finally opened and attempted to test product 8/20.For reference, I was a CNA a few years back. I have manually taken blood pressure before. I bought this machine to take my CKD cats BP since I’m not confident enough to manually take vitals on a cat.Set up went smoothish. Was easy enough. Finally got to trying out the product, and decided to test it on myself. One issue I had was the device deciding to shut off every 15-45 seconds every so often while I was reading the instruction manual.I put on the pediatric cuff as I have small arms, and clicked start. I got a “loose cuff” error. No big deal, I must’ve put it on weird. And as a matter of fact I did, so I readjusted. Loose cuff error again. Now I’m thinking, alright what’s going on. I tighten the cuff to an ungodly amount thinking as soon as I click start on the machine I will surely lose my arm in the process. But alas, loose cuff. Okay, weird. Let’s try a different cuff just for fun.I change the cuff size. Same error. This is when I decided to reach out to support and figured maybe it was user error since I haven’t used this style machine before. Since it was Amazon support, she didn’t know how to use the machine but that’s fine, I planned on reaching out to the company the next morning. Until I heard sizzling coming from the machine, that is.I suspiciously felt the underside of the machine where the batteries sat—hotter than satans a**. I quickly removed the back cover to lo and behold HOT batteries. That is not a good sign. These were brand new batteries. That’s when I abandoned all efforts with the lovely Amazon employee, rescinding my previous efforts of contact information and now opting for return.The sizzling continued. I’m now concerned thinking I’m about to get 4th degree burns by a blood pressure machine which would surely make my BP sky rocket. And that’s when I saw one of the batteries burned. Now I’m concerned that maybe one of my NEW batteries was at fault and did my little google search. Was it the battery or the e-sphygmomanometer?Long story short, the interwebs told me if all my batteries were hot it was likely the device’s circuit were likely overloading the batteries. And you want to know what? All of them batteries were HOT ASH. So now I can no longer use any of those 4 batteries again (and batteries are expensive in this economy 🥲), and now must also go through the annoying process of an Amazon return.I’d maybe skip this particular listing on Amazon if I were you. I’m hoping to find a different machine that functions.

I'm a Nurse Anesthetist and I have a 2 year old daughter with a cardiac disease who requires daily blood pressures. In lieu of having a visiting nurse come check her blood pressure everyday, I obtained this blood pressure monitor so I could do it myself. It appears to be very accurate as it is right in line with the blood pressures we see on her in the hospital. I like that it keeps a summary of all of the blood pressures with the date and time, and heart rate, so I can just screenshot that screen every week and send it to her cardiologist.Came with 4 different sized cuffs so really something for all ages (neonate, infant, child, regular adult)
