Review: Proper cross stitch set for children - I bought this for my 6yo. The box comes with basic instructions on how to cross stitch. The pictures are fun and including them with rings, wallet and frame is a great idea. I was looking for a set that would include a real needle and not a plastic one. This is a proper cross stitch set, it feels more grown up. After I showed her the start, she has quickly picked it up and she is cross stitching by herself and she loves it!! Perfect gift for quiter children capable of concentrating. I love it too!!

My 5.5 yr old really wanted to practice her new cross stitch skills and I thought this might be a nice introduction. Good kit and she really enjoyed sewing the pencil case but the cross stitch images were too tricky for her as the holes were small and very near to eachother.
