We purchased this for our 8-year-old daughter for Christmas 2025. It was the favorite gift of the day! She immediately opened it and played with it for hours, and days in fact. There is a variety of molds and all are adorable:) The instructions are straight forward, yet simple enough for young readers to understand. All five of my children (ages 4, 4, 5, 8, 10) were able to creating fun creatures independently and having a great time playing together. I would suggest supervising the first attempts, as releasing the gel from the molds takes a bit of finese; however, after the first couple of tries, it's easy... and fun! The molds are well made and will last for years, if cared for. We laid out a towel under the project, as there is water involved. The only cleaning necessary is to dry off the molds when completed, or lay them out to dry. Any spilled gel is easily wiped up. I highly recommend this for school-aged kids and adults alike.

This Kit keeps my kids entertained for hours and helps them use their imagination. Everything in the box is well-made and easy to use, and the results look adorable. Definitely worth the price and a great gift idea for children. Highly recommend this product.

I got these on a whim. I bought them for Christmas for older kids to play with because I knew that they would like them, but I was concerned that they would not be able to get over that they were for little kids. So I was happy when the older kids really were able to enjoy them while playing with their niece that was actually too young to do this on her own. So the whole family was able to get involved and enjoy doing a creative product project together. It went really well. And we have broke them open about three times now and there are still plenty of paints to make the gels out of. My only complaint is that the gel squishy‘s don’t last outside of water. They will disintegrate and turn too much if they aren’t kept in water. And I didn’t really realize that. But they are so much fun to make and if you are looking for a creative projects that just get the creativity flowing and are a fun thing to do and make, then this is a great gift or idea. Our niece is 2 1/2 and she would definitely need supervision to do this. The older kids enjoyed making the projects as well but the design on the front and box definitely says three end up and looks like it’s for little kids. A three-year-old could not do this unsupervised.

This kit is worth the 30$. My 8 almost 9 year old girl picked it off Amazon with her grandparents birthday gift card. She read the instructions by herself, didn’t have any questions for me, and proceeded to create all the wonderful creatures in an ocean of fun. She even got creative and started to make hybrid creatures. The only part she needed help with was opening the little packets of gelatin powder type stuff without spilling it. That’s what you mix with the paint to make the jelly type animals. She probably spent a good few hours a day for two or three days until she moved onto something else for the time being. But there is so much ingredients in this kit that she will get to do it all over again no problem when she’s ready. And I love how everything comes in a nice plastic container to reuse and store. It was messy, but no stains from anything and cleanup was easy with Clorox wipes. We keep all the at least 100 animals floating in some clear canning jars. I think it would also be great for play-dates. I do my research when I buy new things and this was a great pick.

I purchased this activity for my daughter’s 10th birthday! She absolutely loves it! It is super easy to use and she was able to do it alone or with us. Everyone in the house wanted to make their own. She had so much fun that we put it out the following day during her birthday party with her 2 best friends so all the girls could use their imaginations. The activity kept the girls busy and happy doing new fun designs. The company will send you a free refill kit so my daughter wasn’t worried about the products running out while sharing it with friends. Great company. I will be looking to see if they sell other products!

Very nice entertainment for a 5 years old

5 stars!! This was a great activity for my kids 3,4,7,8 and 13!! They all loved it!!! It’s really easy worth the money a great gift and all good colors!!! We made a lot from them!!!

Hours of fun for the whole family! Water does get everywhere so prepare for that. For the amount of molds, colors, and packets for the water, this was a great deal and an amazing gift to give. Also, when you take the water animals out of the water, it takes about 3 days for it to shrivel and it’s cool to watch them dry up and get smaller. Highly recommend! And great for screen-free quality time.
