Was unsure about ordering this but it’s been a good decision. I can maintain the feeding schedule of my kitten, and trust the ice packs will work well. Easy to assemble and schedule. Happy that it’s usb charged rather than battery, although a power low warning light helps either way.

The cable with the curved charging port was destroyed immediately the first couple days. :( We had one for two years though and it just died after charging it this last time, Without the supplied charging cable, you have to flip it all the way over to charge it and it must remain off. Cannot buy a replacement motor/battery. Now I have just a six dish feeder.

The item was good, however the battery keeps dying quickly. We bought 2 of these and one is not functioning properly. Would love to be in contact with someone to either send a new one or fix the battery problem. Otherwise the itemWould be great.

I just got two of these last week so they're still very new, but so far I'm pretty happy with them.I see a lot of complaints about the programming being difficult, but that wasn't a problem for me. There are only 3 buttons, a left, right, and "set/save". When you turn it on, it will ask if you want a 24 hour or 12 hour clock, I hit one of the side buttons for 12h and then "set". Then you enter the time it is right now, hit set. Then there are 5 small lights that say "meals", you enter the hours/minutes for the first one, hit set, and it moves to the next meal. So on for all 5 meals, and then you can press both and hold the two arrows to lock the screen.It is relatively quiet and slow moving so I'm not worried about it hurting my cat. It has a little "beep" after it's done moving, which helps my cat know that their food is available. It's easy to open, easy to clean, and I like the ice packs so they can be used with wet food. I got an extra set so I could keep some in my freezer and easily swap them out.My only complaint is that one of mine has a dead light in the screen, luckily it's in a spot where I can still tell what number I'm setting so it's not a big deal but a minor annoyance.There are probably easier options out there if all you want to do is auto-feed your cat, but mine needs a daily dose of medication so having separate compartments and cooling packs was very important and these fit the bill.UPDATE: Having used this a few times and having had some issues, I want to point out to everyone that the feed schedules do not go in order of when you input them but whichever time comes first. Which has been very frustrating, I assumed if I set the first feed to 7am, it would not turn until 7am the next day. But if a later feed is scheduled for 8pm, it will activate then instead.So if you're like me and trying to dose out medication, you'll want to make sure you're setting it for the same time every day so it doesn't activate early.

I bought this last September for my new 7 year old rescue cat. She kept wanting to be fed at 2 am and 6 am and it was exhausting me. Took her about a week to “get lt” as she’d wake me up and I’d have to go to the feeder and pretend stir the food but finally she realized she didn’t need me! Suddenly last week she refused to eat from it. I work from home and the food was in the bowl but she just kept meowing like she was starving. I remembered some reviews mentioning whisker fatigue and sure enough put her food on a soy sauce dish and she gobbled it. Now what to do about overnight? I had on hand bubble wrap, duct tape and mason jar lids. Photos show what I do now for the 10pm, 2am and 6am feedings and she’s fine with it again. Added bonus is I could chill the caps of food prior to putting them in the feeder if I need to use for more feeds in a day.
