Install Bay BB99 10 Percent Cap 99Uf 100 Volts 400 Hertz 4 Ohm Non-Poplar

So I purchased a new to me car and all the speakers were blown along with the factory amp. So I took it upon myself to do a frankenstein installation with some components I had lying around and some new stuff I purchased. I installed a Kenwood DDX492, and a Pioneer GM-D1004 Class D Amp ($90 here on Amazon!). Got it all wired up with two 3.5" tweeters in the dash, 5.25" in the front doors and some 6x9's in the rear deck. It sounded good but it was really muddy and ugly at high volumes. After listening to each speaker I realized it was the tweeters that were distorting the sound horribly.Did some searching and found I really need a crossover or something for my tweeters. Since I was doing this install on a budget and had pretty much blown my wad on the head unit that was out. Someone suggested a "bass blocker" for my tweets. Some quick searching and I came across these. Got them wired into the positive lead and holy crap my stereo sounds good now! Took all of the distortion out of my tweeters and gave me clear, crisp highs and mids. Really amazing and for like 1/100th the cost of a crossover! If you have tweeters and you're ballin' on a budget like me then you need these, totally worth the $10 or whatever.The package comes with 2 so only buy one package here on amazon for 2 tweets. Now I just need to save up for a nice 8 or 10" subwoofer to really make it sound good.

The product seems to be of as good a quality and workes as well as any I have used previously. Package contains 2 bass blockers, suprised that was not made more clear in decription. The 99 in the product model number and description is a little misleading. The 99 is 99 microfafrads which translates to 400hz @ 4ohms and 200hz @ 8ohms. The wiring diagram is somewhat humerous, but it just wires in series with the + of speaker so it's no big deal.

I am a little concerned. The package shows 400 hertz on the front label. Then on the back label shows 200 hertz. I was going to return it, but i saw the reviews from other buyers. One said the same thing. But everyone is happy with the product. So i hope it is the 400 hertz and not the 200 hertz on the back label. I will try it. 3 stars to start this review. I will be updating after i install them.

Reduced the heavy bass on my Rockford Punch P132 dash speakers while retaining the mids & clarity of the highs. My dash board is less thumpy. The blockers came pre-stripped & thus installing was a breeze. I recommend these considering the price & effectiveness.- You only need to install one along the positive wire.

The front speakers in my truck (4") have always distorted horribly on the bass notes so I did my research and bought these. They were here in 2 business days with standard shipping. They were very simple to install and now there's no distortion, just pure, crisp, clean mids and highs. For less than $9 they are definitely worth the price.

Not too much to say about these, they seem to be doing their job on my rear speakers. Cuts down on vibration. Just remember to wire them up to the speaker's positive wiring.

must buy if you dont want your tweets and mids sounding like mushy poop to the ears. easy install. and very noticeable change in SQ. I recommend these things so so much.
