It's the Good stuff.
This is what I use in my deep fryer at home. Along with some peanut oil so it doesn't foam over. Works great, gives an amazing taste to fried food . Seems an heather options then frying in manufactured oils.

Great quality
I use this for my skin. I got frostbite a couple years ago and coconut oil was starting to be problematic. I was worried that this would be gross and oily and sit on my skin like a slick but it’s actually super absorbent. It melts quickly and has a waxy but not unpleasant smell. It interacts with my skins lipids and produces a pleasurable scent. It’s got a great consistency and a little goes a long way. Bonus, my dogs aren’t eyeing me like I’m a steak. This helps protect me in these cold winters.

Package Leaked? Product Great!
The shipping box was dark brown, wet with grease. However, the plastic container showed no cracks or visible problems and the seal was still on the lid. The lid was still VERY tight and the contents appeared normal. Strange... look forward to using. ... now using, and I like it!

Wagyu is the way to go
Absolutely love this product! The wagyu tallow is so pure that with every use it has literally pulled the old seasoning out while reseasoning my cast iron. It has a mild flavor. Can be used for cooking, making soap, or for moisturizing your skin. Will buy again!

Healthy cooking oil with great flavor at a reasonable price
Where to begin? This wagyu tallow adds a decadently rich but subtle flavor to any food you cook it with. Emphasis on the subtle. It won’t absolutely overpower your dishes, but at the same time does just enough to take your food to the next level. The smoke point is quite high at around 420F, so it worked well for most of my high heat cooking. Make sure not to cook above this temperature though, otherwise you’ll get a lot of smoke quickly. So, if you want to use this to sear your steaks, I’d instead recommend using it as a final baste in place of butter (at a slightly lower heat). I’ve also loved it for sautéing vegetables, baking potato wedges, and scrambling eggs. I’m excited to try making some old school thin-sliced tallow French fries as that’s apparently where it shines the most. Really, the key is to give the tallow enough time to absorb into what you’re cooking, and it’ll provide that subtle flavor enhancement that you want. Now as good as this tallow has been for me, the best thing about it is the price. Unless you’re willing to buy pounds at a time, you just CANNOT beat this price. I’m cooking with it almost daily and I’ve barely put a dent in my jar. I expect I won’t need to reorder for at least another month or two. There are a few other good tallows on Amazon but their pricing is much higher and none of them have this rich wagyu flavor. This tallow is a no-brainer buy for me moving forward!

Not a fan.
Even after sitting on my 38° porch for a little while this stuff was liquid, which is not how tallow is supposed to be. Especially at room temperature let alone at a lot lower temps. The next issue is there isn't any seal over the top. So there's nothing keeping it fresh or stopping it from leaking all over the inside of the box since like I said above for some reason it's a liquid. Has a little bit of a beef smell but nothing to crazy. The shipping packaging actually wasn't too bad as it did have its own box and a bubble wrap sleeve over it. Overall I'm not happy with it and I don't know if there's something wrong with it. Maybe it got messed up sitting around at an Amazon facility? Maybe it's not bad but it's just low quality. Maybe on top of that it's made out of really low quality scrap fat instead of suet? Maybe they're adding something else to it that they're not disclosing that's keeping it in liquid form? Whatever it is it's definitely not worth it to me. I guess if you're okay with more of a tallow oil and risking eating runny clumpy tallow then this might be the product for you! Just expect it to leak all over the box because it isn't sealed!
