Excellent little grinder. Worth the price tag
I read lots of reviews about this grinder before I bought it. I heard all the usual nitpicky complaints about the both on the stepless wheel, the position of the RPM dial, the depth of the hopper, etc. none of these were deal breakers and after using it for a few weeks I’m glad I bought this. It looks so nice next to my color matched espresso machine. It feels premium, the grind consistency is great, I’m pulling much better shots than I was with my four year old Varia VS3. It grinds faster and better. And for that I’m happy.

Works Beautifully, but Sounds Cheap
For a grinder that costs this much, I expected to receive an absolute tank of a system. This thing grinds beans really well, don’t get me wrong, but it sounds tinny and cheap, like the motor is on the verge of burning out a moment’s notice. Overall, this grinder has worked great but I’m apprehensive to change between espresso and pour over grind sizes because it sounds like it’ll fail. It is generally easy to use, the magnetic features are nice, and I have had zero clogging issues. The grind size is hard to read, so a better dial indicator would be a big upgrade.

very nice
So this is a very highly rated coffee grinder. They have increased the price quite a bit since it first came out but I think they have upgraded it in general. I have the 64s which is slanted towards espresso though I use it for pour over and I have it a number 11 so it's fine for both espresso and filter or pour over types. Quality of the grind is great. It's very consistent. I see on line complaints about popcorning beans but I see that no more than most others and also the catch cup though it is substantial though small. I normally use 55g of beans to I got the optional hopper and I have a magic shaker I use for the grounds. The release feature works great. I keep it set at 1000rpm and have no issues with stalling. Just make sure you start machine first to rev up. My beans are city so... Coffee tastes great. Motor is very quiet without beans and moderately quiet grinding. I've seen folks complain on line about it sounding tinny and cheap but in person that is not the case at all. You won't go wrong with this machine

Great once you get the hang of it
Takes awhile to get used to but once you dial it in it's great.

Sturdy with some issues
Very sturdy metal build and I like the look! Somewhat weak motor, stalled a few times already. Came slightly misaligned, on the finer setting you can hear it warping a bit. Produces quite a bit of fines, which I don't know if it could be from the slight misalignment, or if it's just how this grinds? Wish it would have ionizer for anti static instead of the shake ring that you have to turn once finished, which makes a somewhat annoying pop sound. Managed to get it on a surprise flash sale, would probably not pay full price.

Great for the price but could use some minor things
Great grinder so far. I did tons of research before I bought this one and when I could get it on a significant sale, it made it well worth the price. I knock at one star because this has been advertised as having very, very low retention, but the truth is that there’s quite a bit of popcorn in the hopper, and I wish there was a better mechanism than a tiny squeeze thing to clean this out between uses. Using a single dozer is particularly useful when you are changing in between beans frequently. But this still routines about .1 g of coffee and a lot of fines. I haven’t really heard of anything better especially for the price point, so it still gets four stars. It’s small and does a really good job with both espresso and pourover. My only other complaint is hard to prove, but when I pick a grind size I get pretty good consistency. However, if I change to a larger grind size and then go back to the previous grind size, I get a very different extraction outcome. I’m not quite sure if it’s user error yet, but I seem to be able to get a consistent shot before switching grind sizes. That’s what’s confusing to me. But anyway, for the price, it’s a great flat burn grinder that produces a pretty good espresso shot. Workflow is also great and it’s easy to use and clean.

Love this grinder, best money spend on a coffee grinder so far!
So far I am loving this new grinder, I tried it with my local roaster’s finest beans and did a comparison test between it and my old grinders, significantly better coffee over all. I do highly recommend to buy it from Amazon though, because I had a really bad experience ordering from Timemore’s website. Pro: 1. The grounds are a lot more consistent compared to to my old grinders 2. Using the same exact brewing methods, I tried both Hario V60 and Aeropress, both times the sculptor 64S grounds yielded better taste and more desirable coffee than the other. It brings out a more balance cup of joe than the others. 3. I really like the magnetic cup catcher function, don’t have to worry about not placing the catch cup in the exact spot, it automatically goes there. Con: 1. Need to turn on the power button before pouring the beans does take some time to get use to. It hasn’t happened to me yet, but some reviews said that if you add beans in first, sometimes it will stop the grinder. My first time use I did add beans first, then realized it right away and took them out. Close call! 2. I saw some video on YouTube about cleaning it, it seems like a time consuming job, wish it would have been designed easier to take apart for clean, but just a suggestion, not a official complaint.
