Great design; great quality; fits my new 2019 Specialized S-Works Tarmac; great customer service
When I opened the box I could immediately see and then feel the great quality of this product. However, this initially turned to disappointment when I tried to install it and it didn't seem to fit. I then used my vernier calipers to measure the Traxle, my bike's thru axle and the inside diameter of my rear droputs/wheel and this seemed to confirm my disappointment.I then called Kinetic and was suggested to try installing the Traxle into the wheel and dropouts separately. And it fit both! So it turns out that it was "operator error" and that I didn't have alignment of the wheel and dropouts correct when I tried the installation (I'm not sure why my measurements were off as I tried to do so carefully).I have since put the bike with Traxle installed up on my dumb trainer and the setup works great. I will be using it for away races (I train with another bike on a smart trainer). I highly recommend the Traxle. One note to those that may seek a less expensive solution: Kinetic is a real machine shop. You should remember that you are installing a replacement axle into your dropouts that if not manufactured to high precision, could ruin the threads of your bike's frame. A high quality product is well worth the price.

Worth Every Penny!!!
When I first needed a thru-axle adapter for my Specialized Roubaix, I balked at Kinetic's price and opted for a competitive version at half the price. That product worked well enough but used a method for attaching the "trainer-couplers" whose tolerances resulted in an imperfect alignment between the trainer mounts and the axle. In practice, it's probably not a bit deal, but it looked as awkward as a cow on a crutch. Ultimately, the tip of the small spindle, used to connect the drive-side trainer coupling to the axle, broke. Again, probably not a big deal, but for the price, I wasn't taking any chances with my safety or that of the bike. This Kinetic product is rock solid. The non-drive side axle-end is shaped to serve as the coupling to that side of the trainer. On the drive-side, the axle extends through the drop out such that you can screw the second coupling over top. At 142mm, my Roubaix and Diverge, require use a spacer between the drop out and the coupler to ensure that the threads do not protrude through the coupling. All the parts look a little intimidating at first but between the helpful video and instructions it all make sense when you have the parts in hand, AND the benefit of studying your existing "road axle".

High quality solid fit
Bought this rather than significantly less expensive alternatives because I felt this would fit best. It does fit exactly right. There is a lot of force involved in this connection to the trainer when it's in use and I didn't want to risk a carbon bike to an alternative that only might fit pretty well.

Fantastic!
Bought for use on my cross bike with a 12x142 thru axle, for warming up at races. Works great. You need a 6 mm allen wrench for the non-drive side, then a 18 mm box wrench for the drive side. Although to be honest I imagine hand-tight would be fine for a 20-minute warm up like I do.Threading: be sure to choose the right threading. I bought medium, which is the Shimano standard (1.50 mm). Rock Shox (maxle) axles are coarse (1.75 mm thread pitch), and Syntace use 1.00 mm thread pitch (fine). So make sure you order the right threading. Other brands fit in to these categories as well, but you'll have to figure out yours (only other one I know is DT Swiss ratcheting 12 mm thru axle is 1.00 mm thread pitch). This lost a star simply because of the price - they know they've got you over a barrel, so they charge what they want. It is well made, no doubt, but should come in around $20-30.(I use it on a Kinetic by Kurt Road Machine Indoor Bicycle Trainer, but I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't work on any brand of trainer.)

Brilliant! Works perfectly on a 2020 Cannondale Synapse Carbon Disc
Works flawlessly on a 2020 Cannondale Synapse Disc. Local bike shop wanted $60 for the same thing. If you've got a 142.5 hub with a 12mm x 1.0/fine thread pitch, this is exactly what you need to adapt your thru axle to fit on your trainer. Granted, it's a little expensive for an aluminum rod that's threaded on one end, but it's well engineered and worked as designed. The tapered spacer fits perfectly into the non-derailleur side of the frame and prevents your expensive carbon fiber from being crushed or damaged. Plus, it's plenty strong for everyday use and doesn't add much weight - I think I'm just going to leave it in there permanently. Now if only they made this in a quick release version...

Good Solution for 2018 Roubaix generic trainer
2018 Specialized Roubaix Comp. I used Kinetic Traxle T-2100 fine thread (1.0M pitch) 12mm x 142mm 105645.I removed existing axle and replaced with Traxle using the supplied tapered spacer on drive side and flat spacer on disc brake side. Fit perfectly and is centered. Took 5 minutes.I considered going to the machine shop and making my own but estimated 2 1/2 hours on the machines, the cost of the aluminum stock, buying a tap, and the travel time to get everything I need.Considering the hard coat finish on the Traxle and quality of the threaded end, I think the $49 price is reasonable.

Fits a 2021 Specialized Sirrus X 4.0 perfectly
I bought this for use with an indoor trainer. The trainer itself is a little on the small side for my particular bike, but this thru axle fits PERFECTLY with the extra tapered spacer removed. They advertise that you should have no threads showing outside the nut, and it's perfectly flush on my bike.Install was easy. I recommend you compare the length of your stock thru axle with this to predetermine sizing, but it's easy as pie otherwise, and I can use my trainer now, too.
