I pour with the cover on and off and have had no problem. The cover stays on securely when I pour. I like the pan a lot. We heat water for coffee in it on a regular basis and have not had problem at all. I would buy this product again without hesitation. **Q: Does the milk stick when you boil it? Is it hard to clean?** A: Never put milk in first .
