The best knife that I’ve ever used
The media could not be loaded. Likes:The way that the handle was made and then transitions into the blade makes the knife extremely comfortable and easy to grip. The quality of the blade is made with some of the best materials that I’ve ever used when it comes to knife blades. The blade is so sharp that I can easily cut through any food that I need to cut through even frozen food. It’s very easy to use and just feels amazing in the hand no matter what I’m using it to cut. It has the perfect balance of weight between the handle and the knife or the perfect balance. There are two different styles on each side of the knife blade that makes no food stick to the knife and also when I use it to cut through packaging it does not leave little pieces of the packing throughout the food like knives usually do. I really love this knife it also comes in a really nice knife box so I have a safe place to store it away in.Dislikes:Really there isn’t much bad at all that I can say about this knife but I did see when I opened the knife that the tip guard that covers the tip of the knife and the plastic cover that goes over the blade the blade had cut through it but that just shows how sharp the knife is. I would’ve also like to have seen it cover with a knife sheath but it really is perfect in every way.

A Must-Have Chef Knife!
The media could not be loaded. I am beyond impressed with this 8-inch Japanese chef knife! From the moment I unboxed it, I could feel the quality. The hand-forged 5-layer high carbon 9CR18MOV steel is not just beautiful to look at, but it also provides incredible sharpness and durability. I’ve used it for everything from chopping vegetables to slicing meat, and it glides through effortlessly. The rosewood handle feels luxurious and provides a comfortable, secure grip even during long prep sessions. The balance of the knife is perfect, making it easy to control and reducing hand fatigue. I’ve owned several high-end knives before, but this one truly stands out in both craftsmanship and performance. If you’re looking for a professional-grade kitchen knife that’s razor-sharp, durable, and absolutely stunning, this is the one. Worth every penny!Highly recommend!

Don't listen to other reviewers. This is a great knife if taken care of.
This is a fantastic knife! I've been using this knife everyday if not every other day since I purchased it over a month ago. It's retained it sharpness very well. I purchased a whetstone and give it a few passes every 5th or 6th time I use it and it's still razor sharp. I've seen other reviews with people complaing about rust and the handle breaking. These people are not taking care or the knife. Evrytime you wash the knife make sure you dry it completely and you won't have any rudely at all. Do not leave in the sink over night or anything like that. If you cut things with the smallest amount of finese the tang will not break. I've cut very large and dense sweet potatoes with this knife with no problem whatsoever. Is it a real japanese crafted knife? No. Is it more than sufficient for people cooking at home frequently? Absolutely.Tl;DR- this is a great knife if taken care of. Make sure you dry is completely after washing and take a bit of care while cutting. Don't just hack away at stuff. Get a whetstone and give it a fee passes every so often.

Great product for the money
First off, I'm NOT a professional cook, but I used to work as a prep cook for a Cordon Bleu caterer. So while I'm not a professional, you could say I'm a well trained amateur.TL;DR? It's a great knife for the price, if you're interested in spending a little more for a knife than you're used to, but don't want to shell out over $100.The knife arrived in a lovely wood box, and as many have already said, was very sharp. The feel of the handle is quite nice, though if you're not used to the octagonal handle commonly found on Japanese cooking knives, it might feel sort of weird. After giving it a light washing, I decided to try it out on a variety of foods. The knife absolutely flew through veggies I prepped for a salad, and later when I was getting some salmon ready for dinner, the blade glided through as though it were melted butter. I've been using it regularly now for about a week, and for the money, it's excellent. I also own a couple Wustholf knives including an 8" kitchen knife from them, and my 8" FAMCÜTE is certainly almost on par despite being less than half the cost. The not so great? Well, after just this short an amount of time, not even two weeks, it's dulled a little faster than my Wustholf, but a quick bit of honing was all it took to regain its edge. The other issues I have are minor, but if you use your kitchen knives a lot and you're used to very high quality, you'll notice. For one thing, the balance is WAY off, as in the center of weight is almost an inch and a half up along the blade. The other issue I've had is in the way the blade is shaped. Most kitchen knives I've used, the bottom portion of the cutting edge leading toward the heel will straighten, so while much of the blade has a curve leading to the point, that last 1-2" of the heel toward the bolster will be straight. This blade doesn't, and curves all the way to the bolster. Not really a huge issue, but when using a rolling chop I've found I have to adjust how I'm used to cutting to make sure I go all the way through. So all that said, I like it, and I'm likely going to try some of their other knives. I have yet to need to sharpen the blade, but so far I doubt I'll have any trouble.
