I like this Omega 3 fish oil as a supplement to my diet because I normally do not consume much fish. My doctor recommended I sacrifice one capsule by cutting it open to give it the smell and taste test. He said it should not smell fishy or have strong fish taste if it was processed fresh. It passed the test. This product has the quality and purity I have come to trust, and does not give me any issues with burping . Glad to see it back on Amazon. I now stock up a year supply at a time.

I just started taking it, but already feel better. And I am not craving fish (yes, I have this weird “indicator” in my body :)), what tells me I am getting enough Omega now.The taste of pills is very slightly bitter, but since I an swallowing it with water it doesn’t bother me.Overall I am very happy with this purchase. The amount of EPA and DHA is excellent (I was told to take at least 2,000 mg of them combined).No aftertaste whatsoever. Great Omega, will be definitely reordering soon. Thank you!

After many hours of research of omega-3 brands, I concluded that Icelandic Omega 3 is the best. I base this on the availability of information about the product, including the quality of the end product, proper dose levels, and the high standards in how it is processed and tested. Compared to many others that reflect minimal standards, dosage and vague information (on the label & online), Icelandic Omega 3 stands head-and-shoulders above the rest.I suffer from joint pain throughout my body. As for the benefit that I receive, I have noticed considerable positive responses in less than 2 weeks. I no longer have to get pain treatment for my hips and shoulders. The inflammation in other joints has diminished and I look forward to improved function and reduced pain.I would recommend this product to anyone seeking relief in joint pain; thus, increasing quality of life.

If it is true what this product claims, this would be a great product to be taking. My problem is so far ... every pill I have taken has a strong bitter perfume taste. Now I wash each pill before taking and that took away 90% of that bitter perfume taste. Either that or someone with a perfumed hand cream handled them.I have not experienced any fish burps and even though I have difficulty in swallowing most pills, I have no problems in swallowing these large pills. They have not caused me to have an upset stomache. I do not feel any benefits yet. My grandmother took 1 tsp of fish oil a day religiously since a child. When she passed at 99 years old, did not have a single wrinkle on her face....sagging skin, yes. She swore it kept her healthy. I hope by taking safe fish oil to achieve her results.Again, if what is true regarding this product is as claimed would definitely be on my must take list. However, I will not be purchasing again due to the strong acrid perfume taste. Also from now on I am googling every company before purchasing supplements from an unknown company to make sure it is an actual place of business and not a 3rd party apartment based business. I am on a limited income and hate being dupped.

My 5 year old dog was having serious looking problems in both of his back legs (limping, difficulty standing/walking, obvious discomfort). Hundreds in vet specialist bills later (nothing was diagnosed, but they suggested a very extreme and invasive bone-cutting surgery) we took the more conservative road of pain pills, then steroids, and put him on bed rest for a few months. The vet surgeon said that the steroids weren't a fix and that as soon as we tapered the dose off, he would experience the same leg problems. However, the whole time we were going through this ordeal, we put our dog on this fish oil supplement, and Synovi G4 (glucosamine, MSM, creatine, boswellia, turmeric, and other good stuff) in addition to his Nature Select dog food. When we tapered off the steroids, the problems did not return. I guess his "possibly torn ACL that required immediate investigative surgery" magically healed itself. My hypothesis is that he twisted or stretched or otherwise hurt himself by digging under the fence (that's when the first mild limp arrived). Then perhaps the courses of rimadyl and prednisone gave him relief from immediate inflammation and pain, and then the nutrients from fish oil and G4 gave his body the building blocks to heal over time. Anyway, I can't be sure because I don't have 10 identical cases to compare methods on, but the fish oil supplements at least gave him extra nutrients, and at most, really helped his body heal itself. Yay! I myself am vegan, so I can't speak to their effectiveness on human supplementation. The dog gets all the fancy fish oil :-)

Per other reviews, these pills are really larger than other similar strength fish oil capsules. However, they absolutely cause awful burps that will leave a fish taste in your mouth for hours! They don't smell in the bottle or even when you swallow. But honestly, you will taste fish for a long time after which is a deal killer for me.
