Perfect replacement for my ailing Makita batteries!

Me ha sorprendido... Hecha en Vietnam. Pesada y fuerte.

I have been using this product for a couple of years and it and never failed to hold a charge and recharges quickly. I would buy another one with hesitation.

Lithium Ion is a great technology. I love how the batteries hold a near full charge for weeks at a time. Makita has thought out the design of its LXT line very well. Most of the time, when I'm busy with their tools and these batteries, the charge cycle is faster than my drain (or use) cycle. So I can always count on a fully charged battery being ready as I keep going. I know some people that prefer NiMH type batteries – but other than being slightly less costly, I don't get it. I think Lithium Ion is better on all the points that matter... more amp-hour on-demand power, longer shelf life when fully charged, and lighter weight. And forget considering anything that runs on the out-going NiCad technology. I understand that there are some new battery chemistries on the horizon, mostly for low-power devices like cell phones, but for high drain devices such as power tools, Lithium Ion is going to be around for many years.
