The resins supplied work well. The heated spatula is a bit awkward to use due to its shape and being required to press a button to provide heat. A shape more like a soldering iron would be helpful and allow a finer application of the resins.

I was so disappointed when I found a chip out of the edge of my granite countertop. I decided to look for a solution and found this repair kit. I was thrilled when I was able to mix my color and apply it. Doing an edge proved to be easier than I expected. I taped off the edge and underneath and carefully added the mixed epoxy. It was easy to apply with the palette knife. When it was dry I did have a bit of sanding to do to get the top and edge smooth and even. It turned out great. It proved to be worth the money vs hiring someone to fix it.

I was hesitant to try to fill a hairline crack on my granite kitchen countertop by myself, but I thought I’d give it a try. Initially, I called a business that specializes in granite repairs, but they quoted me a price of $350. I used the granite repair kit from Amazon this morning. The instructions were easy to follow. But remember to go easy on any colors that you add to the base. You get 4 toothpicks, one for each color container. Just a tiny bit of color on the tip of a toothpick is enough. The consistency of the filler was very smooth and creamy. And the filler was odorless. Before filling the crack, I put packing tape on both sides of the crack. Then using the putty knife that was included in the kit, I smeared the filler over the crack. I did this a couple of times. Then I removed the tape and wiped away any excess filler with a dry paper towel. I could tell right away that the crack had been filled. Tomorrow morning I’ll buff the area using the sandpaper that came with the kit.

I used this repair kit for some damaged areas around my countertop opening and overall I think it works pretty well. After it fully cured, the material became very hard and solid, almost like real stone or marble. It feels durable and doesn’t stay soft or rubbery like some cheaper fillers. The biggest challenge for me was the color matching. The kit includes different pigments, but it still took a lot of trial and error to get close to the granite pattern and tones. If your countertop has mixed colors or detailed textures, expect to spend some time blending and testing small amounts first. Other than that, the repair itself bonded nicely and helped improve the appearance a lot. For the price, I think it’s a useful kit, especially for small chips, cracks, or installation mistakes.
