High quality product which reflects in the rather high price!
High quality product which reflects in the rather high price! Only delivered yesterday so this might just be a bit early to review it!I bought this product for the Kitchen and primarily for the DAB radio, but every now and then I like to listen to a CD which is why I purchased this model.Very easy to set up, in fact it does it for you mainly! CD carriage is a little noisy when loading or ejcting a CD. The mono sound is very good and can be tweaked every which way to suit your taste. Bluetooth works very well, although like most Bluetooth connections the volume is quite low even when the connected device is on max volume. Hey ho, if I have any concerns or issues I'll update this review.

Love it!
I purchased this items because my cheap alarm clock had given up. I was a bit apprehensive as the price was quite high for what my partner claimed was just a glorified alarm clock but after setting it up with the radio stations I love and the alarm clocks I needed I was absolutely blown away with this bit of kit.Not only is it an alarm clock with digital radio and also the capability of sending music from your phone via bluetooth. It's a CD player as well! And as someone who still buys and loves CDs I've been on the search for something like this for a while now.The sound is great. Can get it nice and loud when the mood takes and it even produces decent base. The one and only thing that might annoy some is that the remote control signal seems to be a bit weak and at times can take a couple pushes of a button before it realises your doing anything but that doesn't really bother me.It is well worth the money in my opinion and even my partner was impressed with it in the end.

Nice radio alarm for bedside
Easy to set up and use. Brightness just right for bedside table. No problems in use so far though I find being asked to review such an item before I have used it a while annoying. Sound quality fine;not HiFi but what do you expect. Bluetooth great for listening to audio books rather than depressing Covid stories!

Looks nice, sounds nice, wakes me up on time, what's not to like!
Only had it a few days but the display is what has drawn me to it. Bright and clear in the daytime and dim and unobtrusive when it's dark. Not played too much with the sound or features as yet, but the alarm function was one of my key purchase reasons and so far that has worked exactly as expected! Also nice to have a DAB radio as AM quality is rough in this area. Not the cheapest radio/CD player/alarm clock device on the planet but I don't regret the purchase for a minute.

Let down by only having 3 preset station buttons
I would say the big downside is only having 3 fixed preset radio station buttons. 8 preset buttons would be much better. There is 4th button you can use to scroll through other preset stations but that is a pain to use so I mainly stick with choice of 3 stations. Also, when the radio is playing via the alarm it doesn't let me change to another radio station. After two years, the DAB radio stopped working, making a clicking noise. It is not due to poor DAB reception as my other DAB radios continue to work fine. When I did a factory reset it started working again. On the plus side the sound is okay, I like that I can dial down the display to very low so it doesn't disturb at night, and it's handy it can play CDs if needed which is originally why I bought this.

Great radio... but fiddly buttons
So the radio works great, and sounds great. The clock can be set to just the right brightness for a bedside radio.But... the buttons are dreadful. Fiddly, and provide no tactile feedback so it's waaay too easy to press the wrong button. Generally Pure seem to have their DAB radios sorted... but the silly buttons let this down badly.

Pure genius.........poor auto dim!
The item is very easy to set up and the sound quality is good. However,it is a very heavy and bulking item when seen in real life and is unsuitable for a bedside table.Be warned that the display auto dim feature is very disappointing and just cannot be read in a dark bedroom, which seems to defeat the sole purpose of a clock radio! The design and finish on the product is excellent and would be suited to a living room or studio environment. As a bedside clock radio,I would not recommend buying it for this specific purpose alone.Pure radio do offer excellent value and the sound quality is fantastic.
