This is a great idea, I would give this 10 stars if I could! I was able to mount a 16 inch CyberPower Rackbar Surge Protector under my desk, I really like that it uses screws, it is very well made, highly recommend.

This is a good product for mounting a power strip to a desk. However, note that it does require screws. This is more secure than similar products using a clamp, but requires more tools and holes in your desk.

I got this to mount it in my bedroom, forever I have had the power strip just there on the floor or by bed or the nightstand and it always gets on the way or fall off etc., so figured this would help hold it in place on the wall.That is exactly what I dit, I screw it to the wall above me (lot of people might call it tacky as heck what I did) but for me gets the job done and that power strip is out of the way, my outlet is right on the center under my bed so works great, no more cables comes on the side or I couldn't stand when I tried to plug or unplug something and power strip would come up with it. These brackets you can tight them to your power strip as much as needed, it has a screw on the side you just keep screwing until it puts enough pressure around the item in the middle and holds it in place.

I didn't realize that this mounted to the desktop with screws - I thought it was a clamp type, but the clamp is actually to hold the power strip in place. This is not an option for me as I wanted to mount to a fairly thin table and the screws would come thru the top! It did fit my strip and would hold firmly in place. I did try double sided tape, but between the strip and the mount, it was too heavy to hold. Would probably work fine if what you are mounting too has a fairly thick top that you don't have to worry about puncturing.
