Q: does the clear color have any pigment? i'm looking to keep the silver/grey color

This version (CLEAR) has no pigment. If your wood is already silver/grey, this will not change the color. If your wood is natural, it will bring out the grain, but still keep the natural color.

Q: I have a new set of teak patio set that i would like to maintain its color. which color should i use? should i use the clear color?

The clear will keep the original color. Natural Light and Classic have pigment and will change the color. Take care to not treat the pigmented versions like a paint. Apply a thin layer with a foam brush and wipe the excess with a clean cloth. You should be able to see the grain through the sealer for a more natural teak look that will last exponentially longer than oil. If you apply too thickly, it will look more like paint and take a long time to dry.

Q: Can this be used on an outdoor whisky cask (barrel) made of oak? i have used teak oil in the past, but required new application 2-3x yearly.

I think it would work fine in a barrel. I used it on a teak sofa and a raised garden bed. Both look great. It’s very easy to use.
