Dihl 50L Onyx Black with Black Lid Stainless Steel Waste Bin

This is louder than other sensor bins, and it has a slightly smaller opening than our previous one. That said, it works a treat. 8 months on and I haven't had a single issue. Battery life seems great as well. Easy to clean, stays reasonably shiny.

Excellent Service. Excellent Product. I highly recommend this company, and their bins, this is my second one, I've still have the largest one that I bought a couple of years ago, and it's still going strong, (a tip put a couple of small holes in the bottom of bin, and it makes pulling the full bin liner out easier) (There's two button on the front top of lid, the one on the right when pressed down holds the lid open for longer) Well worth money. I looked at the reviews and was a little unsure. Arrived quick, looks great. Ours was all black and I really like it. It looks more then we paid for it and takes AA batteries which is great. The sensor seems to be working well, with out going off all the time, only opening when we wave a hand over it. I Love it and it being at least £20 cheaper then the next model. I recommend to purchase it, especially for the cost and look

Best bin I've ever had looks mint and works very well

Great quality electric bin - lid sensor works well, and is easy to use. Batteries lasted around a year before needing to be changed. Decent value for money, and bags are easy to replace.

We wanted an automatic bin, becuase the kids are germaphobes. The only place we can place a bin is near a door into the kitchen. So, we chose one that had a sensor placed on top, knowing the door would be opened and we would walk past it. Anyway, despite the palcement of the sensor, the bin opens EVERY TIME the door opens and again when we walk past, and again when the door is closed. Batteries still last a good while though :) The bin has a collar that keeps the bag in place - basically a think, oval shaped plastic ring. It's very flimsy - if you even lightly try to squash the rubbish down in the bin, the ring just falls inside the bin. Other than that, it's good looking, as far as bins go, and the dimensions are nice and slim, whilst still retaining the advertised capacity of 50l. Just needs a slightly thicker ring, and for the sensor to be truly upwards facing and it'd be perfect. 3/5 stars

My favourite gadget! I'm not a gadget fan normally but the automatic opening and closing lid of this bin is such a good idea. Even with mucky hands the lid stays clean, then you can wash your hands. It startled my cat initially but he soon got used to it! I haven't had to clean it yet but imagine a wipe over with a disinfectant wipe would suffice. It is well made, fits neatly into my small kitchen and looks good. Came well packaged and undamaged. Very pleased

As we have had 2 stainless steel 50ltr bins from these guys before and both have been excellent quality, we assumed this would be the same - how wrong we were! Firsty, this is not 50ltr, compared to our previous two it was much smaller. The lid is not robust and cheap plastic. The bin bag plastic fixing ring just sits in place not clips down. The sensor to open and close, just dont bother, leave it swiched off. Then thete is a lip folded back in on the rim of the main section that just rips apart your bin bags when pulling them out. £56 wasted. Now at the tip after 2 weeks. Well overpriced and no where near previous quality. Avoid.
