Nano Titanium Ionic Hair Straightener, Professional Flat Iron For All Hair Types

After much consideration, I reluctantly ordered this flat iron as a gift for my teen aged daughter. We have been a CHI family and I was unhappy with the fact that shortly after I purchased my Chi the cord started to short circuit and eventually it just died. My daughter has a head FULL of hair that's super thick and is naturally curly/wavy and usually very hard to tame. The sheer amount of hair on her head is one problem, let alone the thickness and coarseness of it is a whole other issue. She has a tough time straightening her hair just because it takes SO long and there is so much of it. I was really hesitant to buy a flat iron that I knew nothing about but I read several great reviews of this one, and even found it at Ulta and talked to a few of the styling ladies there who said they had used it and it worked very, very well. There was a light mishap with the shipping (bad weather delayed its arrival by a few days but it arrived before Christmas so it was fine) but the item was exactly what I ordered. I loved the fact that this has titanium plates and was 1.75" plates - 3/4" larger than the Chi we had. I also liked that it had a temperature control so you could select what setting you want because I have very fine hair and didn't want to scorch my hair if I needed to use this iron. She was really hesitant and was set on getting a Chi so I told her to go upstairs and just try it out to see. She came down maybe 20 minutes later with the softest, silkiest and STRAIGHTEST hair I've ever seen her with. She said that she LOVED it and it was so easy to use and FAST... literally ONE PASS with each section of hair. Granted, she used the hottest setting but her hair was super shiny and soft. I used the iron later the same day and set the temp on 375 and it worked like magic on my hair, too! My hair is much more fine but I have quite a bit so it didn't take me longer than 15 minutes to completely straighten my hair. It was PIN straight and I received several comments/compliments from our friends at dinner that night! We both also loved the fact that this iron does NOT grab or pull your hair like the Chi does. I used to get so irritated because no matter how gentle I was, I still ripped out hair after hair using my old Chi and this one didn't pinch or pull at ALL. I cannot recommend this highly enough and I strongly urge you to set your concerns aside and give this product a try. I was a big Chi fan....until I found this! I don't think I will ever purchase another Chi iron again!

I have thick long, coarse hair and a lot of volume, BabylissPRO Nano is doing a great job straightening my hair without burning it, I'm still experimenting with the temperature 350 does a decent job 400 is much better but probably more damaging... The tool itself is a bit bulky, wear gloves!!!

This is long but important. I have Very thick, African American hair (bra strap length, natural/no perm etc) I'm going to preface this by saying this review is only for my sisters in struggle - sisters with hair that takes an hour to blow dry level thick... hair that you take to a Dominican salon and wait in line for an hour and a half STANDING UP when you feel like getting a press because you're arms are not strong enough to do your own hair plus you know no one else can ever *quite* get the roots right... Sisters whose momma's might've disregarded their life safety by heating up an actual hot iron comb on the stove burner in order to lay your edges on Sundays and thus you are simultaneously immune to heat in the scalp area but also traumatized, thus you straighten your hair only occasionally and with extreme caution. This review is for YOU my friend. Context: In my youth I lived in New York and went to the local Dominican salon every Saturday because I didn't know what to do with my hair and I worked in the type of places where natural hair was frowned upon. Eventually I fixed my life and moved to California where I no longer bear the burden of EFFs for white tears and do what I want when I want and how I want. This means that my hair is a big, curly Glory most of the time and I only straighten it about once every 2 months when I want to change the game. This is important because I don't know the effects of this iron for every day use. ANYWAY, I used to have a chi and that was turrible. TURRIBLE. It was $100 and the plates snagged my hair and weren't log enough to be useful. I could only do less than 1/2" sections at a time and each piece needed like 3 runs be user the pressure was also turrible resulting in a minimum 2 hr ordeal post blow dry (note: if you're reading this like "what that's crazy my hair only takes 45 minutes" again... This review ain't for you) . Honestly it might as well have been a gold painted golden hot curling iron from 1984 for all it did. Plus it never got my roots right and my ends were always trash. ENTER THIS BLESSING. A legit game changer. The silkiness... The smoothness... I felt like Beyoncé circa crazy in love. I've never written an Amazon review in my life but the trap gawds are working thru me right now- gonna go head and break it down: - heat settings the 375/410 degrees is THE BIDNESS. 375 on edges and small pieces 410 on the big chunks - what this means is my press took 45 MINUTES.... FORTY FIVE MINUTES. And if I was even remotely good at flipping the ends that would've been faster (practice makes perfect but I recommend getting a heat glove if you're awkward as I am). I was worried about going too hot just cuz I could but I didn't even feel the need to get to 450 - the plates were long and strong- NOoo snagging!! Smoothe plates, hair never got stuck, no tears for my fallen end pieces. For those commenters complaining that the plates don't close... As a thickly thickum I'll say this was not the case. Whatever the gap might be my hair was thick enough to fill it and the plates applied very even pressure. - if i could change anything, it would be the ability to lock the buttons... My errant awkward hands weren't great at avoiding those Anywho, This is joy and I love this inanimate object. That is all, make the right choice.
