I have to say I am not a Keanu Reeves fan ordinarily. I think he is stunning to look at but can he act ...generally the answer is no because he is an incredibly wooden actor - his facial expression is next to zero and I saw more life if the eyes of Jaws!Having said that, he does have a certain intensity and animal magnetism which he played to the hilt in this film. It was a brilliant performance and with Sandra Bullock giving a strong screen presence the film could hardly go wrong....and it didn't.The film crew were on the top of their game as was the director and editor. Script writers, who I often criticise were superb and the casting of Dennis Hopper as the baddy was genious.I loved Jeff Danies in this, he bought a gentle light relief which was perfect for the film.It is an exciting non-stop action type of a film, the thrills just don't stop and I highly recommend this oneas a keeper - they don't come much better than this.

I watched Speed as a young twenty something . I’ve just watched it again with my two young pre teen lads as a Saturday night movie ... ( I’m making the most of them before they get too old to want to spend time with their old mum lol!) OMG I forgot just how good it is! They loved it !! . Start to finish action, thrills and suspense . A few laughs too- ( how can there not be with Ms Bullock around?! ) And Keanu mmmm forgot how much of a hottie he was !! ;) so it was a happy night all round !!

I suppose it's showing its age. Had never seen before this year but found it clichéd and uninvolving. One of those action movies where people seem to suffer almost no trauma from being in life-threatening situations and immediately go back to making wisecracks or snogging. Boring, really.

Ahhh the good old days before every aspect of our lives was politicised. A must watch, an actual, real, film.

Speed is exactly what it says on the label. It is an action packed film with mean twists in the story line from the outset. I wish I had seen it when it was first released. It left me breathless. SPEED 2 is something of a mixed bag, more improbable and a bit more predictable.

It's a great action film with compelling performances from the leads, Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves. In over 20 years it hasn't aged at all and has adrenaline pumping throughout. Might not be as quotable as other action films, but it flies ahead at great speed and keeps the viewer engaged the entire time.

A brilliant film for all ages. A jaw scraping action movie which entertained my whole family from the young age of 7 to my father who is 87!To get a five star this film would definitely need to get better graphics, as at points the film was very bury, although i did take in consideration that the film isn't going to be as good as a modern day film as we didn't have the technology back then! Would 100% recommend to everyone to watch! A perfect film for all ages, that perfectly portrays terrorism in this day.

Don't bother getting the 4k version, it's really grainy in all the closeups and disappointingly flat in the wide shots. Other movies from this and earlier eras have been great in 4k. Still a good movie though.
