Such a clean upgrade from older RV toilets โ worth it
We upgraded from an older plastic RV toilet from the early 2000s that had started yellowing, and this made such a difference right away. It looks so much cleaner and more modern, and the quality feels way better than the older style. The seat is more comfortable and the overall look really refreshed our RV bathroom. Install was straightforward and it fit perfectly in our space. If youโre replacing an older RV toilet, this is 100% worth it. It made our whole bathroom feel cleaner and more updated ๐ค

Great Upgrade!!
Wow, what a perfect upgrade for our new RV. Brand new RV that had a Thetford unit in it and had a problem with it in the first week. Of course it was under warranty and the repair tech suggested replacing the unit with one of these as he said he would pretty much guarantee I would have more problems with the original one down the road anyway. This is so much better I cannot believe it! I am so glad he suggested it. Reasonably priced and a way better unit. Simple install, too.

Rv dream toilet. Lol
Such an exquisite difference from my factory installed version. Bit higher so the squat isnt so low, easier to clean with the porcelain bowl too. I found it recommende through utube video and glad I did. Very simple installation. No worries with this product

Happy with it.
I am happy with the product overall. Very easy to install. It is just a little bit to noise when filling the bowl with water. And when I first filled the bowl with water it didnโt hold water it just leaked out. But then I put some vaseline salve underneath the rubber seal of the bowl then it started holding water. I did notice that there was a little bit of some kind of salve at the ring of the ball next to the rubber seal when I first looked inside the toilet bowl, but it needs a lot of lubricant underneath the rubber seal for it to hold water from what I experienced. So I would just recommend adding some kind of a little bag of lubricant in the package when shipping this toilet out to customers. So besides the noise and the lack of lubricant for the rubber seal, I would say overall I would still give it a five star. Thank you.

Water takes a LONG time to begin rinsing toilet..
My biggest complaint is that the water takes about 3 seconds to begin rinsing toilet.. This is a slightly longer (elongated) toilet, as compared to the 300 model, so the lid hits my cupboard behind the toilet. I'll have to pad it sometime in the near future. I will say that if you're looking to replace your 300 with a 310, I recommend you to so asap. There's a seal inside the 300 toilet that can't be replaced. The raw sewage begins collecting inside the toilet...talk about gross! Then there's a nice, 5" x 3" hole in the back of the toilet which acts as a window, wafting the raw gases into your space. When I finally learned of this design flaw, I reached out to Dometic who said I was SOL.. the 2 year warranty had passed. I had the bright idea to cover a couple of rags with plastic bags and duct taped them over the hole until this new toilet arrived. FIEW! What a relief! It's great having a porcelain bowl and smooth, wooden seat. The plastic seat on the 300 had fins that made it extremely difficult and time consuming to clean and disinfect. It will take some time getting used to the heft, as well as the slow close lid, which is a strange feature. When I want to close a seat or lid, I don't want to wait for 5 minutes for it to close. The manual says nothing about whether it should be forced down, or not. Will have to research that soon. This is a good upgrade, and seems to be nice quality.

So far so good! Excellent Upgrade for our camper!
Toilet arrived in a box showing product. The toilet was awesome quality, hard seat and lid! No cheap flimsy, seat or lid! Directions were clear, product did have all items for installation. Camper space was small, however it was installed in less than 15 minutes! Quiet flush, and works like a charm!

Dometic Model 310 RV toilet
This was the easiest thing to install. It literally took me 10 minutes to install this replacement toilet in our camper. All hardware and the new gasket was included. The only tool I needed was a 3/8" wrench (10mm) a few paper towels and cleaner. My camper had this same toilet installed when we purchased it. The only difference between the original and the replacement was that the new replacement has soft closing seat and lid. It is a nice features. No more slamming of the toilet seat or lid. 1. turn off the water 2. open your low point drains and open all faucets. This will take all pressure off of the water lines and help any prevent any water from leaking out of the water line to the toilet while you are installing the new toilet. 3. unbolt the water inlet line from the back of the toilet 4. unbolt the two (2) bolts on each side of the toilet 5. remove toilet 6. clean floor and flange. Great opportunity to give the black tank a good rinse while you have the toilet off. I used my garden hose and a high pressure toilet cleaning wand to thoroughly spray the interior of the black tank. 7. make sure the new toilet gasket is properly attached to the bottom of the new toilet. 8. attach the new toilet and fasten. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THE BOLTS. 9. attach the water line and close your low point drains. 10. turn on your water line and check for leaks. THAT IS ALL IT TOOK TO INSTALL. If you deduct the time I took to spray my black tank, this only took 10 minutes.

The seal does not hold water for long!
The seal on the toilet never really fully works properly. Youโll eventually start to lose water in the bowl and then youโre going to try and replace it and it doesnโt help and actually makes it even worse and now a year into having a toilet I donโt use on a day-to-day basis does not even hold any water. I shouldโve done my research better this has been an issue with this toilet as Iโm now discovering.

Very good quality
Dometic 310 model came with everything you need. Comes with the floor seal, flush valve seal, floor bolts and caps, slow close seat. Very impressed.and was $150.00 cheaper than the dealer is identical to the model that is in the trailer now had to replace because the flush foot pedal broke off in the fall and dometic does not sell replacement parts for this particular issue and shipping was very fast .

Make sure your water line fits the toilet. You may require plumbing connectors.
Toilet received on time and as described. Installation was quite easy dependant upon existing water line to toilet being replaced. Very comfortable with the 3 inches additional height. The slow close toilet seat is a bonus. It works well!

A very well designed and strongly built toilet
My existing Dometic toiled in the RV had developed a crack in the bowl and was leaking water so I purchased this replacement Dometic which seems to be identical except for the wooden, slow closing toiled seat. Swap in and swap out, very easy installation. Definitely a quality, even though pricey, product.

WATER LEVEL AFTER FLUSHING IN RV
The toilet itself is wonderful and we are basically pleased with it. The only thing we have fault with is that after flushing, the water in the toilet itself should hold about 12 ounces of water. Instead it only fills the toilet with about 4 oz which just barely covers the stopper. This causes us to actually have to push the pedal down carefully a second time to have the water level in the bowl come up to where it should be. The seal itself is not leaking. This is a pain to continually have to do this each time. In the Domectic flyer it says that the weep holes should run after flushing to bring the water level up but they work perfect when flushing but they dont run after to bring the water level up. When we phoned Dometic about this problem the customer service rep was very brusque with us and basically told us that that was the way it was and nothing else could be done and we would always have to push the pedal down twice. We have installed 5 RV toilets in our many rvs in our RV park and have always had the proper amount of water in them. We are disappointed with the water level and also with the service representative from Dometic who could have been more forthcoming.
