Q: I used a hand-made shaker last time. Is it worth the extra $ to get the powder duster?

The duster is worth buying as it keeps the super fine powder from making a huge mess. No, Amazon is not paying me for the patronage. Just good word of mouth folks.

Q: does it kill bedbugs and fleas ?

This product did not help with cat fleas in our house (Ctenocephalides felis). This product really should only be used outside the home. I tried Diatomaceous earth in our house and it became a dust problem that I had to vacuum up and clean out of our various filters. Cat fleas are a bit harder to get rid of than regular fleas. If your problem is cat fleas, I recommend instead BASF 671858 PT Ultracide Pressurized Flea Insecticide, 20oz.

Q: Do you dust it on the Flowers or just on the Leaves and around the ground?

Dust 'VERY LIGHTLY' on plant leaves....flowers not necessary....and at the bases of the plants on the main stems....for ants, dust their ant trail for several feet.....works great! Try to leave it for a day or two without getting watering or getting the powder wet.
