This is a well written book on a common problem for those of us in later years. At some point in time you may notice certain words are jumbled in a sentence from someone in the same room with you. As it gets more difficult to hear your family or people in public, it is time to be honest about the need to take care of this. Yes, we fool ourselves about our hearing in numerous ways, but it is best to use some of the incredible technology available as a cure. Small ear canal aids are cheap these days, I bought some fine aids for less than $250. I remember my grandfather with a big box on his belt and a wire running up to a big plug in his ear, so I connected the look to age. No more. You can't even see those in my ears and people can be heard. Time to give up the myths. The sooner the better. 5 stars.

It’s practical, easy to follow, and cuts through the confusion. If you or a loved one are navigating hearing loss, this is a must-read.

I long wanted to learn more about hearing aids and like everybody else had a lot of misconceptions about them. This book explains in great detail how the hearing works and what the hearing aids do. I learned a lot and some facts surprised me. I'm grald I got the book before investing into a product.
