Caffè Nero Medium Roast Winter Blend Coffee Beans, Chocolate & Almond (200g)

Of the high street coffee shops I tend to like Caffe Nero the most, so was happy to pick up this bundle. Priced around £20 per kg it's fairly in line with other offerings by independent roasters and tasty to boot. I was pleasantly surprised at the packaging supplied, it comes in a branded box, filled with 6 individually packaged, metallic embossed, 200g bags. The whole package is premium and would make a nice gift, a 200g bag in a hamper with other things is a great Xmas gift! Although wasteful I have to admit it makes life a great deal easier, one 200g bag is the perfect amount my bean to cup machine takes, allowing the rest of the coffee to remain fresh as it is never exposed to the air. The actual coffee was lovely, I'd probably not have known it was a medium rather than a dark roast, it made an intense flavourful latte which I really enjoyed. It was more chocolatey than caramel but just nice all round and I'd happily buy again.

I did not give high expectation on these Nero whole beans but ended up surprised by its taste and freshness. These beans are well-packaged and feel premium. The beans are fresh and are still capable of generating plenty of crema using my Sage espresso machine. These medium roasted beans taste mild as expected which is what I prefer. I particularly like it to come in six individual packs so I can open one pack while keeping the rest of the beans fresh for longer. It is priced at £24.25 for 6 x 200g at the time of review, which I think is reasonable considering the taste and quality.

These beans have been great over Christmas as our morning and daily coffee. We have a coffee machine that grinds the beans, and have tried different settings and it makes great coffee across the board - from espresso to Americano. It's got a lovely taste to it - not too mild and not too strong - and has been perfect for all the family.

This product was sent to me for review, as part of Amazon Vine. The below is my own real-world experience of using it. The beans are well-presented, and smell great inside the bag. Since I have a bean-to-cup coffee machine, my review is based on my experience of brewing the Winter Blend with this. My absolute favourite drink is a cafe latte, so I wanted to see how well the beans might work with that; the result was a lovely, smooth coffee that I enjoyed, though I did feel that these beans in particular left a bit more of a 'powdery' residue than I am used to. Ultimately, a minor inconvenience that doesn't take too much away from the coffee. In summary, a good value item.

caffe nero as a chain is quite low on my list of preferences for corporate coffee on the go as they tend to lean to the dark italian roast and i prefer the lighter roasted third wave style of espresso. but seeing this was a medium roast i was intrigued and decided to give it a go anyways and i'm glad i did. it doesn't beat my usual beans for my specific taste preferences but this is an excellent offering for mass roasted and produced coffee. has a nice chocolatey caramel flavour profile which i like in an espresso blend for milk drinks and it's not too dark for my delicate sensibilities. 2 bags fit the hopper of my sage smart grinder pro perfectly. i'd happily pick this up if i needed coffee in a pinch and my usual stuff wasn't available.

this medium roast had me intrigued, and it’s a winner! rich chocolatey-caramel notes shine, especially in milk drinks. not my top pick, but for mass-produced beans, it’s really decent. two bags fit snug in my sage smart grinder pro. i’d grab this again if my usual beans were out of stock. fab coffee in a pinch!

I ordered these Cafe Nero coffee beans having quite regularly bought take away coffee from Cafe Nero, which I've enjoyed. I have been using the beans in our bean to cup machine, and I have been enjoying the coffee they produce, it's a little less intense than the dark roast that I'm used to at home, but it has a lovely flavour, and certainly isn't unpleasant. The bags are 200g bags, and you get six of them, which seems like a good idea for someone like myself who does like a bit of variety with my coffee, as I can use a 200g bag quite quickly. Overall its been really nice to try this blend, it's pleasant tasting, although possibly a little mild, and I particularly lkke the fact that it comes in smaller bags, so I'm happy to recommend it.

These coffee beans seemed pretty fresh and fragrant when I first received this bag and stuck my head inside it. My coffee grinder does a great job grinding these up and when made with my espresso machine it leaves the top of the double shot with a little bit of a crema top. Just like their winter blend pods these beans also have a fruity note to them. A very tasty yet simple coffee bean ideal for a pick-me-up during the day. I think this particular coffee works best when made with a bit of milk or into a latte.
