This is a good replacement product but it is not OEM. the replacement is all ABS and the OEM wheels have a rubberized coat. Once you get over the disassembly and rebuild (30 billion mixed screws #4 torques #1 phillips) the parts work as intended no fitment issues.

Not easy to install at all and the lack of any directions or link to any video doesn’t help. I’m a pretty good DIYer and I was able to intuitively tear down the beater head to figure out how to get this piece on but would have really appreciated some directions. I could not find a video out there that showed me step by step how to swap this out. After about an hr to an hr and a half I had successfully got it installed and put the beater back together. We’ll see how the piece holds up. It looks exactly like the original piece but the plastic pieces that break behind the wheels appear to be crafted exactly the same on this piece so we’ll see. Would be nice to have a replacement for this that was reinforced with metal or something so that the same issue doesn’t keep happening. I blame Dyson though for a flaw in their design and not this company.

Good replacement

Main assembly is as good as OEM, however the wheels/bearings are junk. There are several YouTube Videos available to view to replace the main assembly that are very useful. The wheel diameter where the bearing is mounted to the shaft is oversized so that when the crew holding the wheel on is tight, the entire wheel wobbles excessively and does not allow the bearing to do its job. I was able to salvage the OEM wheels/bearings from my broken unit and install on the new main assembly and now my Dyson is as good as new again.

A very difficult repair. It would have been less expensive, based on hours spent, to replace the vacuum head

The product itself works great and after around 2 hours I had it replaced and working.Yes, 2 hours and I am a DIY expert! This requires a complete disassembly of almost 100% of the whole vacuum head and had to follow 2 videos.EXPERTS ONLY - can do it in an hour probably now but lots of tricks to get electrical wiring inside the head routed.

The description is misleading by claiming it's "easy to install". It was a super pain in the neck, literally, to get this part replaced!! I had to reference a YouTube video from this British guy on how to disassemble the cleaner brush head, but luckily he's instructions were spot on.As a product designer myself, I didn't know if I was impressed by the intricate Dyson engineering, or disgusted by its terrible disposable business model, which is designed to be disposed of if and when it breaks! To get to the broken wheel, I had to pretty much take apart every piece of the brush head to get to it. The whole experience was like a 3D brain-teaser jigsaw puzzle. This job is not for the faint of heart or anyone doesn't have the time and patience to do it.On the plus side, this wheel assembly is well-made and looks just like the original OEM parts when new. After install, the wheels work great. No issues.Overall, good replacement parts, but sadly it is not designed to be replaced by us mortals at home. Dyson's intention is to just replace the whole brush head, which is quite a disappointing business/ sustainability decision. Anyway, I do feel good that I took the (painful) time and effort to renew the brush head without sending it to landfill!Lastly, the seller should remove all the "Easy to install" claims in the description. It might help them out on the "Frequently Returned Item" issue.
