Rufus Isn't Always Correct
I ask Amazon's Rufus this: "can it power to cordless power tools; like a drill?" The answer wasn't what I hoped for. This was part of the reply; The DROK 48V Power Supply you're looking at outputs 0-48V at up to 10A, but most cordless drills operate at much lower voltages (12V, 18V, or 20V). While this power supply could theoretically power a drill, the direct connection would be challenging since cordless tools are designed to work with specific battery packs and connectors. The answer wasn't entirely correct. I found that the DROK 48V Power Supply will power most all my workshop desk tools; drills, sanders jigsaws, etc. This provides me with ability to use all my old outdated tools without buying batteries. I simply soldered electric cords to the devices. They all run and work great now.

Great price and great power supply
This thing is awesome! It says that in 120v mode it will only output 36vdc but it will output close to 51vdc and I've had it up to 8 amps. No issues. Haven't tried 10amps but shouldn't go over 80% on any power supply.

Good range, very stable, accurate voltmeter
This power supply has a wide voltage adjustment range - from 0 to 51.6 VDC. I have checked the output with an accurate voltmeter and found the gauge on top of power supply to be within .06 V from my voltmeter. By the way the gauge shows you 3 digits, so below 10 V you get two decimal points. The voltage adjustment is a 1 turn pot, it is very difficult to dial in the exact voltage you need. But once you have some voltage setting, it stays very stable regardless of the load. I have tried various loads in my cool shop and the fan never came in. It probably would if I held the load for a long time. At idle this power supply consumes only 1.9 W. At 48.1 V I was able to load it with 8.85 A current and it operated with no problem. Please note there is a nameplate label just above the terminal block. It says that with input of 100-120 VAC the output is 0-36 VDC/10A, and with input of 200-240 VAC the output is 0-48 VDC/10A. This is quite difficult to understand. At the time of the test my input was 120.8 VAC, 60 Hz. What would happen if I adjust the output voltage to 48 V and then load the power supply with 10 A? I already approached this condition during the test and did not observe any voltage drop. Some of the reviews mention there is no mounting holes or hardware. This is simply not true. The aluminum case has 4 mounting holes at the bottom and 6 mounting holes on its sides. All holes are M4 thread and such screws are available everywhere. Just make sure your screws do not penetrate too deep into the case and touch the internal components. Overall it is a good power supply for various testing and experiments. If you need it to operate at just one voltage setting, you better find another supply. It is so easy to accidentally bump the voltage output and cause serious problems down the line.
