Get ready for some fun!!
Bought this for my son and we had a BLAST putting it together. Cute doesn’t really describe it. Build quality was just ok…Lego is better, but Lego doesn’t sell a “Blackhawk” edition.

Great peace to add to collection
This is a great piece. My son recently joined the army as a Blackhawk maintenance crew chief and he absolutely love this gift! Not for younger kids too many parts and pieces.

Storm the compound
I know, I know, military matters are in. Fortunately, this is a good little kit and generally affordable (especially given that minifigs are included). Some help was required, but not too bad given the number of pieces. Overall, an interesting set!

Detailed helicopter. Fun to build.
This is a fun helicopter brick set. Lots of fun to build. SOmewhat time consuming but not overly complicated or sophisticated. Despite that, it's really detailed and the plastic quality is pretty good. It's a good size when fully assembled and the rotor blades spin and work well. Overall, this is a great toy especially for a kid with a fascination for machines and detailed and engaging toys.

Good Quality & Fun Build. Great Depiction of the Black Hawk. Only 2-3 Steps w/ Stability Concerns
I have completed several Sluban kits and find them to be designed very well, so that sub-assemblies are strong and stable when attached to the main assembly. The only “iffy” sub-assembly attachments I found in steps 25 36, to be a bit “finicky” to attach and feel stable—i.e. getting the hinged pieces to attach to the main assembly; therefore, I would not advise this to be a play toy, but a static display.Pieces fit tightly which I think is a plus. Despite RA in my fingers, I was able to tap some of the difficult connections with a small model ship building tap hammer. I think children may struggle with those fits.I am always disappointed when there is no parts list; therefore, I take the extra time, to line up all the parts with the steps, to make sure nothing is missing. The numbered bags for the named steps were each complete. (In many other 'off brand' kits, sometimes, a part for an early bag is found in a later bag.)The instructions have decent-sized insets to show which parts are being used for each step and much easier to see to determine when there is a difference in parts that may look the same. Often insets in other “off brand” kits are too small and hard to distinguish when parts look alike—e.g. Connectors with ridges or no ridges. Steps are clearly marked with the order of the parts and where to attach to the main assembly of the helicopter.Personally, I didn't really like the decals; I think stickers are better than watersides, and I think stickers are better than these—yes, they stick on, but then one must remove the top clear plastic layer—this can easily tear the printed decal.I was surprised to see a medical unit carrying guns! I always thought Medevac aircraft (and medical ground transport) were mandated to be unarmed and well-marked, and that firing on “clearly marked and Identified Medivac vehicles would be considered a war crime, so I removed the red cross decals!Another reviewer mentions the listing showing blades in mode for storage ortransport, but I didn't see any like that, nor any indication in the instructions; however, the pics the other reviewer showed would be useful and helpful in the instructions!I am giving 4-stars because of the “finicky” attachments in the steps mentioned above, indicating it is a Medevac with guns (Some people building this may not know this.), and no pictures or instructions for folding the blades back for storage or transport. Otherwise, this could easily be a 5-star item. Even at 4-stars, I would still highly recommend—just be aware of the finicky steps and the guns vs medical.
