Still the best.
I have been a user of the original AAWireless adapter alongside my Android phone since it was introduced in 2022. It sits in my Range Rover Sport and apart from a sporadic connectivity glitch has worked faultlessly ever since. When it throws a wobbler, which hasn’t happened that often, for the most part it has quickly righted itself without need for intervention on my part. On the occasion when I needed help, the AAWireless customer support was first class. I have experimented with other manufacturers Android Auto wireless adapters but none of them compares to the AAWireless device in terms of functionality, performance and reliability. My adapter is still working perfectly today but I decided to upgrade to version TWO to take advantage of the improved design, functionality and Amazon special price (£43.19). Out of the box, its noticeably slimmer and more rounded than its predecessor, which doesn’t benefit me much as mine is tucked away in the centre armrest console, but its more pleasing design is definitely an improvement, especially if there is nowhere to hide it. The other obvious difference is the inclusion of an LED illuminated multi-function button which is used for pairing and switching between phones if you share the car with someone else. The colour of the LED changes according to the pairing status culminating in a solid blue when everything has connected successfully. (All of which is explained in the accompanying Installation Guide). The ability to be able to switch phones in my dual user car being a significant advantage over its predecessor. Setup in my vehicle was fairly straightforward but not as simple as the included Easy Setup Guide suggested, (Plug into your car – Connect your phone to the AAWireless – Enjoy Android Auto). I had to jump through a few more hoops, which was a bit more time consuming but not difficult. Operationally, it is identical to my previous adapter. Connection times for the phone to automatically pair with the car, at circa 20 seconds are identical to its predecessor. The AAWireless App and features are the same and like its predecessor it allows you to tweak various settings, troubleshoot the device and wirelessly update the software. It’s early days but pairing and connectivity have remained steadfast throughout. My main use of the adapter is being able to access Google Maps and Waze, instead of the built in Range Rover mapping and navigation, which it does faultlessly. The advantage being that the mapping features are far superior to the built-in vehicle mapping and I always have access to the latest maps and traffic information. At no cost unlike the crazy price that Land Rover charges to update the maps. In summary, this is more of an evolution if you are upgrading from the original AAWireless adapter but if you are purchasing for the first time, I can personally vouch for the fact that this and its predecessor are a must have if you have a vehicle that doesn’t have wireless Android Auto as standard and want to avoid messy cables trailing everywhere.

Set up and forget.
Seamless - just as hoped. No more connecting my phone to a cable. I use it with an Alpine X903d head unit for a mk7 VW Golf. Once I'd changed the settings to auto start on both the head unit and in the Android Auto phone app, it just starts up with the car. Connection has been rock solid with no dropouts. Sound quality feels just a good as when the phone used the USB connection to connect to the Alpine headunit. Also, it's just as responsive. Of course, the phone now doesn't charge as it's no longer connected to the USB cable, but the Bluetooth connection to the AA Wireless TWO doesn't appear to drain the phone battery any more than you would expect with any Bluetooth connection. Highly recommended.

A seamless, hassle‑free way to finally go wireless with Android Auto
I've tried a few different adapters and workarounds to make my in‑car Android Auto setup wireless — some were finicky, others needed constant attention. The AAWireless TWO, though, quickly turned out to be the one that just works. It’s intuitive, reliable, and made switching from wired to wireless Android Auto far less painful than I expected. I got it for my car because I was tired of plugging and unplugging cables every time I got in and out. The plug‑and‑play setup was refreshingly straightforward — plug the adapter into the car’s USB port, connect via Bluetooth, and it connected to my phone’s Android Auto automatically. No repeated pairing hassles, no fiddling with cables. Once paired, launching maps, music, or messages works just like wired — only now I don’t even need to think about cables. The multifunctional button is a clever touch. I can use it to re‑connect quickly if a connection drops, or to switch devices easily when someone else hops in the car. It adds a bit of control without needing to reach for the phone every time. Driving feels calmer now. No cables dangling, no fumbling around — just a clean, wireless experience. The adapter feels sturdy and well‑made, and connection has been consistently stable on all my drives. Once I tried it, I wondered why I didn’t switch sooner. Overall, the AAWireless TWO is exactly the kind of smart, simple upgrade that makes day‑to‑day driving easier. If you want to convert a factory wired Android Auto to wireless with minimal fuss — this is the adapter I’d recommend without hesitation.

Premium device that eliminates the need for cables.
It's a great item that avoids the need to physically plug the phone into the car (a 2018 Honda Civic). I have a black phone and interior and occasionally forgot to disconnect when I parked. Now it can stay in my pocket. Set-up was flawless but I'd recommend ensuring that it's sited somewhere visible as the lights are critical to understanding what it's doing. When you start the car, the lights go green, flashing green, then flashing blue when it's searching then solid blue when connected. It does take around 30 seconds or so for the cycle which can be a bit frustrating (I've knocked a star off just for this), but the connection has been rock solid once made and Waze, Google and Spotify all work well with no lag and no effect on sound quality. In fact it feels a little faster than the wired connection if anything. There are cheaper options out there, but technical reviewers seem to rate this device and it appears well made and worth the premium in my view.

Effortless wireless Android Auto (with easy device swapping)
Upgraded to the AAWireless TWO from the original version, and it’s been a game-changer. Setup is a breeze — plug it in, pair your phone, and you’re good to go. It connects quickly and reliably, making the whole Android Auto experience truly wireless. No more fumbling with cables every time you get in the car. One of the standout features is the ability to swap between devices at the push of a button. If you’ve got multiple phones in the car, switching is smooth and hassle-free. Perfect for when you’re sharing driving duties or just want to switch from one device to another on the fly. Works perfectly with my Renault Zoe — no compatibility issues, no random disconnects, just seamless connectivity. If you’re looking to ditch the cable and make your Android Auto experience as smooth as possible, the AAWireless TWO is a solid upgrade. Five stars. Wireless freedom, easy switching, and zero fuss.

Does not work with Suzuki Vitara unit
Didn't work with 2021 Suzuki. Hard to gauge whether its the device or the Android header unit system in my Suzuki 2021 Vitara. The system can be tempramental with a cable at times, but I've discovered that's mostly due to the phone being in screen lock mode when first connected. Tried this wireless device hoping it may fix the cable adhoc issues via a permanent Bluetooth connection however initially it didn't connect at all. As most phones only support max 2 bluetooth devices for media streaming, removing one and leaving only the AAWireless adapter and car fired up a connection OK. The AA Wireless unit however decides to disconnect at different intervals randomly and then once it has, no reconnection whilst in motion. Returned the device as cable seems a far more reliable option.

Android Auto Vauxhall Corsa E
This little device is great. My car only allows wired connections via USB for Android Auto, which is annoying. This adaptor is great because I can now go wireless. Really easy to install, one page instructions with just a couple steps, all you do is connect it to the USB in your car, pair your phone via Bluetooth to the device and it works flawlessly. I specifically bought this device because it's possible to pair 2 phones, so I've paired my phone and my other half's phone. You just press the button on the device to switch between phones which it does seemlessly within a couple seconds. No noticeable loss of quality when compared to a wired connection. I use Waze for satnav and Spotify for music and it shows both on my screen in the car. The Bluetooth has quite good range, phone calls are crystal clear. Was a bit skeptical how well it would work, but I can't flaw the device at all really.

Great device.
This has been great. The only thing is the automatic power off seems a bit sketchy, (sometimes my phone picks up when I walk past) but it's not causing any problems and the device has given my car functionality it really should already have. Well worth it I think. I now have 2, one I'm a Nissan leaf and one in a Hyundai Kona. Update Recently improved: if I had one comment it would have been the led was quite bright, it's now dimmable which is awesome. They also seem to switch off better and it's doesn't pick up when I walk past any more. The functionality really is excellent. Do the firmware updates!
