Best Root Water System For Multiple Plants!
I absolutely love this item and have now bought twice and will buy another set for me and one for a friend.I live in Texas, and during the summer it will be 110 degrees with extremely low humidity; like 30-40%. We will go all summer with maybe a sprinkle or two of rain. So if I use a sprinkler the water on the surface will evaporate long before any moisture gets to the roots.However, with this system the plants and shrubs that need root watering will get exactly what they need; especially during a drought. Also, you can put a few drops of plant food into the water as you fill each bottle. For large plants or shrubs I use the one liter bottles that flavored warmer comes in, and for smaller plants I use the bottles that soda comes in. The thin walled bottles should not be used because they collapse as the water drips out. This is a great way to recycle your plastic bottles because you just use them over and over. Also, it’s a great way of measuring how much water you are delivering on a daily or weekly basis so you don’t overwater your plants.The important thing to remember is the first time you use the system you need to poke a tiny hole up on the neck. They do include a thumbtack for that purpose. On the spout there is a little spigot so you can determine the rate of flow of water. So each time you fill up your bottles, just fill them up to just below the tiny hole.The kit comes with tiny rubber bands that you loop around the spout and the spigot. Also, each spigot as a tiny rubber o-ring that seals the hole where the spigot is fitted into the spout. This will keep the spigot in place when you push the spout into the soil. It’s important when you push the spout into the soil you only do so until the top of the spigot is gently pushed into the soil like a 1/8 to 1/4 inch. Again, depending on how you set your rate of flow, as the roots need more water, the soil will wick away water from the spigot, so you don’t over water. This is the easiest and best way to keep your plants and shrubs healthy and happy during those hot summer months! The big spout is made of very durable plastic to make it easier to push into the soil.I hope this review has been of help to you, because the enclosed instructions may be a little confusing. Very Difficult to Adjust Drip Rate
The regulator is a great idea but unfortunately it is very difficult to adjust the drip rate. Goes from no drip to a constant drip with just a hairline turn of the knob. Tried this out with a water-filled 34-oz generic club soda bottle--no leaking noted where spike screwed onto bottle so that was a plus. The water in the bottle only lasted 2 days though. That was outside though so I'm sure the heat was also a factor. I'll have to see how long a bigger bottle lasts before I trust this system to do its job while I'm on a 2-week vacation.

Worked pretty well!
Once I wrote to FEMST to ask how to use these, they gave me good information. I used these when I was gone for a week and most of these watering spikes worked well for 4 days, keeping my plants from drying out too much. My daughter refilled many to continue watering.

Ok if they all worked.
Not all of them worked correctly. You get what you pay for. I used them while gone on a 2 week trip but I still had people check on the plants because it was 100 degrees for several days.

They are very hard to set drip rate. It either never waters or empties in less than a day

They don't work. They claim to fit on certain bottles including Aquafina and Disanti, but even with the included rubber ring, they don't stay on.
